$25 million in super PAC money couldn't buy an out of touch establishment the NY Mayor's seat because people want new, bold, authentic, and progressive leaders that will fight to lift up working families. Congratulations to Zohran Mamdani and the grassroots community that made this victory possible.
New Yorkers made it clear, we have to do more than just oppose MAGA. It's time for Democrats to unite under the people's mandate to advance a truly transformative agenda.
BREAKING: Zohran Mamdani is on track to become Dems' candidate for NYC mayor — toppling Andrew Cuomo's comeback dreams and putting incumbent Eric Adams on notice.
Cuomo has conceded and said he called to congratulate Mamdani.

In the New York City Mayor’s race, the billionaires are trying to buy this election. But while they have the money, we've got the people.
Zohran Mamdani can win! Tell your New York City friends to vote on Election Day tomorrow. Let's win this!

This is "misinformation," Ald. Rossana Rodriguez-Sanchez tells me. She said this man is her former political director, Chris Poulos, not the shooter.
“This is exhausting & harmful. They can really put people in danger,” she said. “Our message has always been about peace.” (1/2)

Today, in the aftermath of the horrific attack in DC last night, many who are seeking to discredit the progressive movement in Chicago have purposely shared misinformation attempting to connect the shooter to local progressive movement spaces and elected leaders. Even though these claims have been debunked, many of these posts remain up and continue to be shared widely.
These individuals have intentionally politicized a tragedy without bothering to fact check the incendiary claims they were propagating. This is wrong, incredibly dangerous, and unacceptable behavior. Even when we disagree, we all have a responsibility to engage in civil discourse with each other with humility, care, and most importantly, the truth.
I take this responsibility seriously. It's disappointing that so many do not.
