I find it rather unreasonable when people compare #Bramayugam and #DiesIrae, merely because both are directed by #RahulSadasivan. The two films differ significantly in vision, tone, and commercial intent. Bramayugam is far less oriented toward mass appeal with its monochrome period setting, limited characters, deliberate pacing, and restrained horror elements positioning it as a more art-driven piece. In contrast, Dies Irae benefits from a contemporary backdrop, stronger youth appeal, and a heightened blend of horror and thriller elements, making it considerably more accessible to mainstream audiences. I am not claiming it’s easy for Dies Irae at all. Given these factors, Bramayugam achieving a 50-crore milestone while competing with youth-oriented successes such as #Premalu and #ManjummelBoys is commendable for a film of its kind.
