The thing about this sort of stuff isn’t that it “has no soul” it’s that it’s only music insofar as it’s a collection of notes played on a beat, there is no songwriting or structure here. Even a fuck ton of “soul” can’t make up for a total lack of songwriting ability

Might be a hot take, but I don't think anything on the NES fully holds up. Mario 3, Mega Man 2 and the first Kirby are still standouts but all the NES classics have far superior follow ups on the SNES.

I've had the @8BitDo FlipPad for less than a month. I use it maybe 2 or 3 times a week (if that) and the hinge is ALREADY cracking. People were worried about the USB port, but I knew from the beginning that the hinge was the weak spot of the entire design.
