🌍 Embracing the AI Revolution
The rise of AI is an undeniable force. But let’s be clear:
AI will not replace all software engineering jobs.
Like every industrial or tech revolution, AI will destroy some jobs and create others.
We see opportunity, not threat. The future of software engineering lies in what AI can’t do (yet):
Designing architecture and integrating AI outputs.
Reviewing and supervising AI-generated code.
Handling edge cases and nuanced decisions.
Communicating with teams and users to build the right solutions.
AI is a copilot—not a replacement. But to thrive in this new world, we must:
✅ Upskill continuously—AI tools are here to stay.
✅ Double down on problem-solving and architecture.
✅ Stay agile and embrace AI as an accelerator.
Today’s LLMs are stochastic processes—non-deterministic and prone to occasional errors. That’s why human oversight and critical thinking are more essential than ever. AI can write code, but only humans can reason, debug, and adapt to shifting requirements
Don’t be the fool driven by fear of AI — be the one driven by enthusiasm for its endless possibilities
@holbertonschool SEIP is exactly what you need for the future.
So many people out there love to preach about peer-to-peer learning, about getting your hands dirty and learning by doing. They’ll tell you that’s the best way to become a great engineer, the most authentic path to real knowledge. And yet, look closer: when it comes to their own children, they do everything they can to send them to Harvard, to Stanford — to the same old elite institutions they claim are outdated.
It’s the classic “do as I say, not as I do.” These voices, so loud in telling you how to learn and how to live, are empty. Their actions reveal what they really believe.
At @holbertonschool we know that real learning happens in the doing — in the challenges, the projects, the mistakes and the breakthroughs. We believe in giving everyone the chance to learn that way, not just those with the right name or the right zip code. So don’t be swayed by the hypocrisy of those who say one thing and do another. Trust yourself. Trust in your ability to learn, build, and grow.
Forge your own path, and know that the real power comes from within — not from the institutions others cling to out of fear.
Think back to all the past predictions. Every few years, someone in Silicon Valley or elsewhere would stand on a stage or in front of a camera, confidently telling the world what the future would be. They’d say, “This is how software engineering will change,” or, “This is what’s coming next.” And how often did they really get it right?
Take a look at the interviews with Jeff Bezos in the early days of Amazon. So many people mocked him, called his ideas crazy, or dismissed him altogether. Yet, he stuck to his vision. The lesson? The loudest voices aren’t always the ones that matter.
So, to all the young people out there: listen to everyone, take lessons from anyone — but remember that a lot of it is just noise and bullshit. At the end of the day, it’s your path. Follow it with curiosity, courage, and adaptability. That’s how you’ll shape your own future — and maybe even surprise them all.
Nobody is better than you. F* them.
Stop listening to all those so-called “predictors” telling you what the future of software engineering will look like. It’s just noise — a mix of hype and guesswork. The reality? Nobody truly knows how the industry will evolve.
Remember: the people who talk the most are often the ones who do the least. So, don’t let yourself be boxed in by someone else’s vision of the future. Stay open-minded, stay adaptable, and be ready for anything. Your curiosity, your resourcefulness, and your willingness to learn will always be your best guides.
Vibe coding with @VRLoki and playing with new stuffs coming @holbertonschool :-)
