Anyway here's Palmer receiving on the half turn to set up a goal in our first game of the season
Maresca should've been sacked on the spot, this, on top of the preseason we had, was a catastrophic red flag
We genuinely thought Maresca was some tactical genius after watching Chelsea win the Conference League and Club World Cup.
Now we're beginning to ask questions.
Was it really Maresca's masterclass, or was he simply being carried by the quality of players like Palmer, Caicedo, Gusto and João Pedro?
The football we're seeing now is raising serious doubts.
Maresca's system only actually works if Jackson, Palmer, and Madueke are calling the shots for him. Historically speaking.
Shoutout @GoldbergCFC I'm pretty sure me going on his platform to vent about Maresca convinced his listeners to mass report me.
Not his fault at all though, we can just laugh about it now because Maresca is ruined

Maresca can't escape him lmao
🚨 😨 Oliver Glasner: “I dont think they can surprise us, I don’t think they are flexible, they go from a 3-2-5 to a 3-1-6 sometimes. They also go to a 4-1–5 so Cucurella can play in the pocket or sometimes go wide to create a 2v1 on the wing, Gusto also does this with Neto and Madueke. I don’t think they can surprise us or want to surprise us” (@SirayahShiraz)
My favorite genre of account, people go can phrase absolutely terrible takes in a fun convincing way >>
@InvertTheWing and @Sxne19iv2 are the spurs and city versions, super good follows
