The hottest weather of the next several days will be Thursday through Saturday. Here's a look at the forecast highs and accompanied records for the stations across our viewing area. Remember, the humidity will make it feel hotter!

Delmarva July 4th Weekend Forecast: Steamy!! Very Steamy. Both Friday and Saturday have 100 degree potential, with feels-like temps 105-110. The pool will be your best friend if spending time outside! By Saturday and especially Sunday we will likely have thunderstorms to track.

We do think it is possible that at least one day, sometime Thursday through Saturday, we do hit or even exceed 100 which has happened 32 times since 1906. The last time we did so was last year, and that was actually 2 days in a row which is exceptionally rare!

🌧️Sampling the highest Delmarva 2-day rainfall totals. A few 2-3” jackpots. Ocean City is at the top with a little over 4" or rain, most of it falling yesterday at the airport!

Happy to report that, so far, nothing is screaming severe here. Which is good! May just see plain ole' rain this afternoon, which is the most beneficial kind. Still going to monitor southern areas but the trend looks good for avoiding the strong to severe stuff.

Monday will be humid and very warm, and most of the day is going to be dry! It will also become increasingly breezy into the afternoon with 30+ mph. By the evening, look out for scattered showers and thunderstorms. Some storms can be strong to severe!

Father's Day weekend is looking great with not only 80s, but low humidity values as well so it will be a comfortable stretch! There will be a weak disturbance Saturday night that will bring in a few extra clouds and possible sprinkles. Should move out in time for Father's Day!

Interestingly enough, there is a level one risk for a strong thunderstorm Wednesday MORNING. With a warm front lifting through, there could a few showers and maybe a rouge thunderstorm as well. It would not be surprising for one of these to produce gusty winds. Just a heads up!

Not only did last night's cold front drop our dewpoints significantly, but our temperatures have also dropped in a meaningful way as well. Only around 80 this afternoon across the peninsula, with dewpoints well into the 50s! Tuesday's temps similar to today. Humidity staying low!

Tonight will be remarkably cool for June standards. Lows 50s, and even some 40s for the cooler pockets! Might be a few patches of fog early Tuesday morning as well.

Extra clouds was in the forecast for this morning, but it's been downright overcast in spots with the initial push of cooler, marine air. Even a bit a drizzle here and there! Certainly adding to that cooling effect. Still expecting meaningful sunshine to mix in this afternoon!

Near oppressive levels of humidity arrive later this week with dewpoints approaching 70 degrees. This will coincide with highs in the 90s, meaning heat index values could approach 100 degrees Thursday and Friday.

Heads up for later Wednesday. We have another chance of showers and even thunderstorms Wednesday afternoon, and a few of these storms could pack a punch and become severe with damaging wind gusts along with very heavy rain. It will be a warm and very humid day.

The more clouds and showers we have earlier in the day Wednesday, the lower the severe threat will be. If there is just enough sunshine with surface heating along with the high humidity, storms will have a better environment to become severe.

We're not seeing too much rain this afternoon, but that likely changes tomorrow afternoon. Memorial Day should start off mostly dry, with rain chances going up in the afternoon. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop in advance of an approaching front.
