A program loaded with talent and an opportunity too good to pass up. Steve Middleton knew Mansfield Lake Ridge was a place where he wanted to coach!
Mansfield Lake Ridge boys basketball head coach Steve Middleton joined us at RevoStudios for Coaches Corner to discuss his journey to taking over the Eagles program, his familiarity with the talent at Lake Ridge, and the factors that ultimately led him to accept the head coaching position.
Middleton’s interest in Lake Ridge dates back to his time at Midlothian, when the Eagles were competing at the 5A level. Having already recognized the talent within the program, Middleton originally pursued the position before former head coach Mitch was hired. Although he didn’t land the job at the time, he maintained a strong relationship with Mitch through their interactions at events like the Spring Creek Classic.
