Hey, Hawkeye family! 🖤💛 I'm stepping away from my usual Hawkeye posts for a moment to share something a little more personal. This is my 16-year-old daughter, Reagan. As you can see, she's been raised right! 😅🐤 Reagan is an incredibly talented bassoon player. Just this past weekend, she performed a solo at the Festival of Bands at St. Olaf College, after being nominated by her band director and earning her spot through an audition. Her high school has just one bassoon, which she uses during the school year. Unfortunately, she can't take it home over the summer. She's hoping to continue playing in college, and I'd love nothing more than to help her get an instrument of her own. Being on permanent disability, purchasing a bassoon simply isn't something I can afford. So I've started a GoFundMe, hoping to raise enough to purchase her a good used instrument. And here's the fun part: Reagan has absolutely NO IDEA I'm doing this. ❤️ I'm hoping to surprise her with a bassoon of her very own. I know times are tough for a lot of people, and I certainly don't expect anyone to donate. But if you're able to contribute, or even just share the fundraiser, I'd be incredibly grateful.
