Should Scotland be 'allowed' another referendum?
The real question is why should England be able to stop Scotland from having a referendum?
Healey must be one of the most boring Chancellors to have delivered a WM budget. I’m struggling to stay awake listening to his droning voice.
This should be front and centre of every news story on BBC Scotland and STV. A Parliament voted for by around 70% of Scotland’s electorate is at risk of having some of its powers removed by a Party rejected by Scots for over 70 years. It should be the major headline but it won’t.
Twenty five minutes into Burnham’s speech and all the big ticket items that are to be reformed all relate to England. Water in public control and right to buy abolished (for new properties) already in place in Scotland.
Labour Party Conference week so which house jocks will be taking to the podium to talk Scotland down in front a predominantly English gallery? Alexander you can put your money on. Be interesting to see whether Marra does likewise or takes a less confrontational approach.

If you support the Royal Family in the UK.
Can I ask you why?
They are horrible people, awful, the worst you could ever meet, and they cost £500m a year.
Why would you support this?

King Charles inherited £650m tax free, gets £354m a year tax free from the tax payer including £132m personal spending money and has an estate worth £22bn that’s never taxed.

The farce that is GB Energy quickly unraveling. When even the Labour cheerleading Sunday Mail is criticising it then you know it’s in trouble. Nothing from Michael Shanks in that article. Probably instructed to keep his mouth shut.

The BBC had a special SNP leadership Debate Night with a hostile audience in 2023. Impartiality obliges it do the same for the Scottish leadership contest with an equally hostile audience.
Retweet if you agree.
So will this be an open forum in Scotland. where ordinary members of the public can question him? Or is it more likely to be a tightly controlled event with selected branch office sycophants fawning all over him along with their favourite journalists. I think we already know.
Good luck to all the young folk awaiting the results of their SQ exams. May you be successful in your chosen subjects. Its just a pity that the usual suspects in unionist parties will use your results to try and score cheap political points against the SG.

Five times or so every day, Prof. John Robertson and his small team review the print and broadcast media in Scotland and points out their barefaced lies, exaggerations and omissions. His team’s researched rebuttals deserve support and a wider audience.

Great start for Burnham in Scotland. You can shove your democratic mandate for a referendum in the bin. Meanwhile I’ll reward my failure of a mate the millionaire Sarwar with a seat in the undemocratic House of Lords. Same Labour circus different clown in charge.
Let me stick a pin in the map of Scotland and find two places that begin with the same letter before I start patronising the jocks.
