The hopes and dreams of our children cannot wait, and neither will our rivals overseas. American leadership is never guaranteed. We earn it by choosing to do the hard things and building a future the next generation will be proud to inherit. There are more footprints to leave on the Moon, a Base to build, an American flag to plant on Mars, and prosperity and wonder to be found among the stars. At NASA, we remain on mission 🇺🇸
American ambition. Maximum power. We didn’t reach for the stars to stop pushing farther. Under @POTUS’ leadership, we’re going back to the Moon. This time, to stay. 🇺🇸

Today, we’re excited to welcome @POTUS to @NASAKennedy as we begin building a global stage worthy of America’s leadership in aerospace. CAPEWEEK will be a great American gathering for the people and technologies shaping the future of aerospace, bringing together builders, operators, entrepreneurs, engineers, pilots, investors, explorers, and hundreds of thousands of members of the public. There is no better stage for this than Kennedy Space Center and the runway that welcomed the Space Shuttle home. This is where America can show the world what we are building next.

Very pleased to announce our newest X-plane, the X-70 Fractal, is joining the @NASAaero fleet to research and develop advanced flight control technology far beyond anything tested in a crewed aircraft. She will take flight under the @NASA banner within the next two years. The science fiction future we imagined as children is ours to build... and I promise, there will be more 🇺🇸
🚨 BREAKING: Introducing X-70 Fractal, @NASA's newest experimental aircraft! This crewed, modular aircraft will allow the agency to rapidly swap out internal & external payloads to help keep pushing the frontiers of aviation technology! @nasaadmin Details: go.nasa.gov/4kAeM0d

Writing this in my personal capacity, but I have been flying these types of aircraft for more than 20 years, with over 8,000 hours, and have reasonable familiarity with how the charter world operates. I feel compelled to post after seeing commentary about the Lear 60 crash, from missile strikes to DEI to critiquing this poor woman’s final radio calls. That last part is what I find most troubling. She was the second-in-command (SIC), and while she was empowered to point out mistakes as part of good crew resource management, she was doing her job, communicating with ATC right to the end in a terrifying situation. She likely knew before many of those calls that she was going to die. I have heard final calls from friends, from military pilots with thousands of hours in fighter aircraft, and they are just as heartbreaking because they know the end is approaching. I understand the public interest given the footage and audio. But you do not know the aircraft’s maintenance history, whether there was a structural failure, if any failure was induced by turbulence, overspeed, or overcontrol, or everything happening in that cockpit. I am sure weather will be part of the investigation, but beyond that, it is speculation. The charter industry routinely hires commercial pilots very early in their careers to gain experience alongside an ATP-qualified captain before they move up to the airlines. She would still have the appropriate training, qualifications, and checkouts by an FAA examiner or designee. Let people investigate, learn, and share the facts. Be respectful to those who perished and the families who carry their memories. God bless them and their loved ones.

Great to be in the field with @FBISeattle, where our team is working shoulder-to-shoulder with federal, state, and local partners to crush violent crime and defend the homeland. 🇺🇸 Our Joint Terrorism Task Force update included the arrest of a Department of Energy employee in a case involving allegations of attempting to provide material support to the Houthis, a designated Foreign Terrorist Organization. 🇺🇸 Through our Homeland Security Task Forces and Operation Third Strike, FBI Seattle and our partners are taking dangerous criminals off the streets. Their efforts have resulted in the seizure of more than 846,000 fentanyl pills, nearly 7 kilograms of fentanyl powder, 7 kilograms of cocaine, and 29 firearms. 🇺🇸 The team is also supporting critical FBI cybersecurity initiatives, including Operation Winter Shield, protecting our nation’s critical infrastructure. Seattle homicides fell 36% and overall crime declined 18% in 2025 compared to 2024. This is what effective law enforcement looks like — strong partnerships, coordinated operations, and a relentless focus on making our communities safer. Thank you to the entire @FBISeattle team and our law enforcement partners for the outstanding work every day. -DKP 🇺🇸

Today, more than ever before, I have to say how glad I am that we got season 3 of #StarTrekPicard, getting my favourite crew back together, just like in the beginning, and helping to overcome the trauma caused by Data's death in "Star Trek: Nemesis". I'm happy this was all resolved!🖖

I took this photo of Patrick Stewart on his 81st Birthday on the set of one of my episodes of STAR TREK: PICARD. We were singing Happy Birthday here — and he was so genuinely touched by the gesture from the crew. He couldn’t have been a kinder man. Godspeed, Captain. RIP

Ok, story time. On Father's Day 2016 I was out to brunch with a friend in Park Slope and I brought my then new puppy Stevie Nicks. Midway through the meal a young woman and an older man were seated next to us. He was wearing a bucket hat and sunglasses. After a few minutes they both start asking me questions about my dog, then start petting her, then start playing with her, then ask if we can combine tables. Thought it was kind of forward but whatever. We talk a bunch about pet ownership and about how bad they both want a dog but can't due to work travel. In fact, they had just gotten back from a business trip. I tell them they should just do it. It was all very pleasant. Throughout the meal the man didn't look up much and when he spoke it was mostly in hushed tones. Just thought he was shy or quiet, or maybe sick. Its New York so you encounter weird stuff all the time. Until, for just a brief moment, his voice broke out in excitement. I looked at my friend a bit puzzled, he looked back at me. The voice was unmistakeable. It was in that moment that we both realized we were having brunch with SIR PATRICK STEWART. He could tell he was outted. But we played it cool, he played it cool, we all ate together and then went our separate ways. I later realized the "business travel" he had just come back from was filming Logan. I often forget about the encounter but a few years later there were a bunch of pieces that were written about him and his wife and their love of fostering pitbulls and it made me happy. Can't help but feel like my encouragement played a small, small part in their decision to do so. Anyway, rest easy Sir Patrick Stewart. My dad was the biggest Next Generation fan and I'll always treasure how Captain Picard loved my dog.
