🚨 F1’s 2026 regulations effectively imposed a SPEED LIMIT that made overtaking almost impossible in Mexico.
According to The Race, cars automatically lose electrical power deployment as they approach certain speeds, even when using overtake mode and benefiting from a slipstream.
The result? Hamilton couldn’t get past Verstappen, while Norris faced the same problem behind Leclerc.
Lewis Hamilton called the system “stupid,” while Norris said it “ruins racing.”
The good news? This restriction has already been removed from the 2027 regulations.

An extensive analysis by The Race reveals:
• Faster in 8 of 9 comparable races.
• Around 0.25 seconds per lap quicker on average.
• Better rear-tyre management and less degradation.
• A 0.185-second median advantage in Q3/SQ3.
The biggest difference? Driving style.
Antonelli carries more speed into corners and applies the throttle more progressively, while Russell’s aggressive approach has often punished his rear tyres.

If I were George, I wouldn’t congratulate someone who benefited from his teammate’s 100 mechanical issues, demanded penalties when he couldn’t beat him wheel-to-wheel, falsely blamed his teammate’s car failure on a forgotten button on live TV, and accused him of mind games in the Italian media. Someone who never congratulated his teammate’s P1s, gave him half a tow, yet needed team orders to get past him.But George isn’t me. He congratulates his teammate almost every time, including this one. Too bad the 12s are either blind or can’t read.

George, you have all of the qualities it takes to meet your dreams. But this year was not your year for many reasons outside of purely your driving skills. Many of us who enjoy and understand the sport of Formula One can see that.
Arguably the two most exciting pieces of on-track action this year involved you. Battling with Kimi at Canada, where alas your car gave out as you were leading and holding off Max at Baku, taking the win after consistent pressure.
Take heart, whenever the Red Bull demonstrated winning pace, you were the only driver able to hold Max off when he had arguably the faster package. Take courage in that, when the tough mindset is necessary, you have all of the elements it requires to win.
Sometimes the car or other factors blur what other more fickle fans may perceive, but those fans that know and understand the politics of the sport will always support you, share every minute of the ups, downs and frustrations. In the end, this makes the champagne of victory, even sweeter.
Now relax, refocus and enjoy the driving, faith in yourself and let the chips fall where they may.

no se como voy a hacerselo llegar pero voy a encontrar la manera. Quizas no sea la gran cosa pero creo que, especialmente en este momento, es importante que george reciba mensajitos de apoyo y pueda ver todo el amor, el cariño y la admiración que despierta en tantas personas alrededor del mundo. Que sepa que no está solo y que hay muchísima gente que sigue creyendo en él, que lo acompaña y que lo valora más allá de cualquier resultado.
Ahora nos toca a nosotros, sus fans, demostrarle cuanto significa para nosotros, no solo como piloto sino también como persona. Recordarle todo lo que vale, todo lo que admiramos de él y que, incluso en los momentos más difíciles, va a tener a un montón de personas acompañándolo y alentándolo. Ojalá podamos devolverle aunque sea un poquito de todo lo lindo que él nos ha transmitido.
