Banger Update solana:CwubepDFJndzSKFmAMAm9u8Xx3PrizAwSq8hcGimpump Engineering Again we see that EKOS is advancing enterprise AI by focusing on intelligent systems that can understand, connect, exchange, and verify organizational knowledge, and not just on models alone. So the Key capabilities include: - Trust: Automatically detects conflicts between imported models and actual database schemas instead of accepting them silently. - Human governance: Semantic changes can be reviewed, approved, edited, or rejected with full auditability. - Validation: Successfully tested end-to-end using a TPC-DS model and the official Ossie validator, correctly identifying two deliberately introduced schema conflicts. - Ongoing engineering work on end-to-end testing, automated validation, and CI checks. The bigger vision is that next-generation AI agents will require a connected, structured, and evidence-backed understanding of how an organization actually works. And guess what? @ekosproject building it! Another epic update, and I am proud to be their ambassador:)

๐Ÿ› ๏ธโš™๏ธEKOS ENGINEERING UPDATE #6 BUILDING THE FUTURE OF ENTERPRISE KNOWLEDGE The next generation of enterprise AI wonโ€™t be defined by models alone. It will be defined by how intelligently systems can understand, connect, exchange, and verify the knowledge behind an entire organization. Thatโ€™s the future weโ€™re building toward with EKOS. Weโ€™ve taken another important engineering step by introducing interoperability with Apache Ossie, an open format for semantic data models. Hereโ€™s whatโ€™s taking shape: ๐Ÿ”น KNOWLEDGE WITHOUT BOUNDARIES EKOS can now import and export semantic models containing datasets, fields, relationships, and business context โ€” moving enterprise knowledge toward a more open and connected ecosystem. ๐Ÿ”น TRUST BUILT INTO THE ARCHITECTURE When imported models conflict with actual database schemas, EKOS identifies those inconsistencies instead of silently accepting them. ๐Ÿ”น HUMAN GOVERNANCE BY DESIGN Semantic changes can be reviewed, approved, edited, or rejected, while decisions remain traceable and auditable. ๐Ÿ”น VALIDATED BEYOND THE CODE We tested the end-to-end workflow using a TPC-DS model and the official Ossie validator. Two deliberately introduced schema conflicts were successfully detected during validation. ๐Ÿ”น ENGINEERING FOR WHAT COMES NEXT End-to-end testing, automated validation, and CI checks are strengthening the foundation as this capability evolves. BUT THE BIGGER VISION GOES BEYOND INTEROPERABILITY. We believe the next generation of AI agents will need more than access to enterprise data. They will need a connected, structured, evidence-backed understanding of how an organization actually works โ€” its systems, relationships, processes, and history. That requires knowledge that can move across systems without losing its meaning, evidence, or trustworthiness. Open standards make knowledge portable. Evidence makes it verifiable. Governance makes it trustworthy. EKOS is building toward a new foundation for enterprise AI โ€” one where intelligence is grounded in knowledge that organizations can inspect, understand, and trust. Weโ€™re not just connecting data. Weโ€™re building the knowledge infrastructure for what comes next. Uberโ€™s Spark work shows what scale-level performance engineering can do: - up to 3.4ร— faster - 79% lower runtime - 98% lower resource costs on selected workloads. Faster execution is always cool, but you still have to understand the data that is executed. solana:CwubepDFJndzSKFmAMAm9u8Xx3PrizAwSq8hcGimpump tackles that layer with their Knowledge Compiler that turns: - Source code - SQL - Schemas - ETL pipelines - Git history - Docs ... Into structured, evidence-backed engineering knowledge. Two directions in the building: - EKOS Lakehouse: data engineering, pipelines, migration, and reconciliation. - EKOS System Intelligence: understanding complex software systems and the relationships between code, databases, and documentation. This show the quality behind the building of EKOS... and knowing them more to come.

@UberEng work on Apache Spark demonstrates what performance engineering can achieve at massive scale: up to 3.4x performance improvements, 79% lower runtime, and 98% lower resource costs in selected workloads. โš™๏ธ๐Ÿ› ๏ธEKOS PUT TO THE TEST: BIRD BENCHMARK & REAL-WORLD TEXT-TO-SQL PERFORMANCE ๐Ÿ”ฅ We didnโ€™t want to stop at building a Text-to-SQL agent. We wanted to measure what it could actually do. So we ran EKOS against the full BIRD New Dev benchmark โ€” 1,534 questions designed to test Text-to-SQL systems across real database tasks. And the results are in. ๐Ÿ“Š THE RESULTS 65.84% Execution Accuracy โ€ข 1,534 benchmark questions โ€ข 1,010 correct executions โ€ข 95% Confidence Interval: 63.56%โ€“68.25% โ€ข Approximately 3 hours of execution โ€ข 3,409 model calls โ€ข $2.82 actual API cost โš™๏ธ WHAT POWERED THE TEST? EKOS K2 + Evidence + Claude Haiku 5.5. Instead of relying on raw database schemas alone, the system uses EKOSโ€™s compiled knowledge and supporting evidence to provide the model with deeper context about database structures and relationships. The objective: help the model generate SQL grounded in the actual database โ€” not just produce plausible-looking queries. ๐Ÿ“ˆ PERFORMANCE ACROSS DIFFICULTY LEVELS โ€ข Simple: 75.8% โ€ข Moderate: 61.4% โ€ข Challenging: 37.2% These results also reveal where more engineering is needed. The largest remaining error category was incorrect column selection, giving us a concrete direction for the next improvements. ๐ŸŒ FROM BENCHMARK TO REPRODUCIBLE EVALUATION Weโ€™ve also published a dedicated BIRD evaluation repository. It includes a Docker-based execution workflow, a pinned EKOS 1.3.0 binary, integrity verification, and checkpoint/resume support. The goal is to make the evaluation process easier to reproduce and prepare EKOS for independent assessment. ๐Ÿ”ฅ WHY THIS MATTERS Enterprise AI needs more than a model that can write SQL. It needs the right knowledge about the systems it interacts with โ€” and a way to measure whether that knowledge actually makes a difference. Thatโ€™s the direction weโ€™re building toward with EKOS. BUILD. MEASURE. IMPROVE. And this is only one step in a much bigger journey. ๐Ÿ”— ๐Ÿงต

๐Ÿง  Does enterprise AI really need bigger models โ€” or better context? One of the biggest challenges in enterprise AI isnโ€™t just model intelligence. Itโ€™s understanding the environment in which AI operates. Enterprise knowledge is scattered across databases, source code, pipelines, documentation, Git history, business rules, and legacy systems. Giving an AI agent access to all this information doesnโ€™t automatically mean it understands how everything connects. This is where structured knowledge becomes essential. In our latest article, we explore two independent approaches addressing this architectural challenge: ๐Ÿ”น NVIDIA Auto Ontology focuses on building semantic, graph-based reasoning layers that help AI agents understand business concepts, database relationships, and enterprise data. ๐Ÿ”น EKOS approaches the problem from a broader perspective: compiling knowledge across enterprise systems, resolving identities and relationships, preserving historical changes, and connecting information to verifiable evidence. These are different projects with different scopes โ€” not a partnership or official collaboration. But they highlight an important direction for the industry: Enterprise AI needs more than powerful models. It needs reliable, structured, and reusable knowledge.โš™๏ธ๐Ÿ› ๏ธ We also examine EKOSโ€™s BIRD Mini-Dev benchmark evaluation, where the clean hold-out configuration achieved 63.9% execution accuracy compared with 53.3% for the raw DDL baseline.๐Ÿ“‘ The model remained the same. EKOS DEVELOPMENT UPDATE #6 ๐Ÿง  BEFORE AI ANSWERS, EKOS COMPILES THE KNOWLEDGE. Enterprise AI needs more than access to raw data. It needs to understand how that data is structured, how its components relate, and what the underlying information actually contains. This is what EKOS is designed to do. ๐Ÿ”น COMPILE EKOS analyzes database schemas and transforms their structure, tables, columns, keys, and relationships into an append-only Knowledge Ledger. ๐Ÿ”น PROFILE It examines the actual data, including row counts, NULL values, distinct values, and representative examples. ๐Ÿ”น BUILD CONTEXT Compiled knowledge, data profiles, and relevant value matches are assembled into structured context for the AI model. ๐Ÿ”น GENERATE & VERIFY The model generates SQL. EKOS executes it in read-only mode, evaluates the result, and allows one correction round when necessary. ๐Ÿ“Š WE PUT THIS APPROACH TO THE TEST. On BIRD Mini-Dev, using Claude Haiku 5.5: โ€ข Raw DDL baseline: 53.3% โ€ข EKOS compiled context: 63.9% โ€ข Improvement: +10.6 percentage points โ€ข Evaluation: 302 hold-out questions Same model. Same output limit. A different preparation and verification process. This is one measurable step toward making enterprise AI work with better-prepared knowledge. Compile once. Query with context.
