Jackson Shelstad knows his speed is an X-factor for Louisville
āI always grew up kinda being the fastest kid on all my teams. I was always faster growing up, so I try to use that to my advantage; it's one of my strengths. Just being able to get by my defenders, being able to get in transition, and open the floor for myself and my teammatesā¦sometimes being really fast can hurt you, because you need to play at different paces and stuff like that, so thatās one thing weāve really been working on with me is just using my pace, stopping and starting. That kind of stuff.ā

As part of yesterday's Kansas pregame radio, I spoke with Louisville junior guard Adrian Wooley.

Louisville freshman Obinna Ekezie Jr. reclassified and turned 18 in May, but talks like a veteran.
"To be an elite team you have to be kinda player driven... our whole team can talk, we all talk, we have great GBT, which is great basketball talkā¦we all fix things on our own. That's the key to having an elite team. Without whatever the coaches are saying, we can fix things on our own."

Bill Self apologized to Louisville's Pat Kelsey and Flory Bidunga for some of the pregame chants.
"I actually expected Flory to get booed. Anything beyond that is uncalled for....when you transfer, or I take another job or something, and you go back to that place, that's what happens. That's the way it should beā¦Flory knows that."
"If he wasn't any good, people wouldn't care."

"Y'all heard what they said. But I didn't pay attention. We had a mission when we came here."
Flory Bidunga relied on his teammates during his hostile homecoming; they also rallied around him.
