More than as one individual…it’s the same thing when we had tough times on the power play.” “It’s a team sport and there’s things we do as a team where we need to do a good job to help our goalie.” Added that Utah needs to be more connected as a team with their goalies.

Per Tourigny, John Marino is now considered week to week. They still have some tests to run but he’ll be out for a little while.

As I noted during the summer, the issue with going after Hellebuyck is that it’s an all-in type of move. He’s 33, has an AAV of $8.5M, & will likely require a sizable return in order to acquire. Utah’s championship window still hasn’t opened yet & making a move for a guy like that comes with a TON of risk. I know Utah’s goaltending situation doesn’t inspire a lot of confidence so far but it would’ve been incredibly challenging for the Mammoth to win that trade, especially if they appeared desperate. They do need to find some answers between the pipes but going after Hellebuyck would’ve been incredibly risky.
