Trump didn't have to let violent criminals go unpunished to get attention. In fact, just the opposite. He doesn't let them off.
Cutting off your nose to spite your face.
🚨 BREAKING: GINA HINOJOSA ISSUES ELON MUSK WITH AN ULTIMATUM OVER TESLA’S OPERATIONS IN TEXAS.
Texas Governor-elect Gina Hinojosa has announced plans to introduce significantly higher tax rates targeting Elon Musk’s companies operating in Texas, insisting that Tesla must comply with the state’s new tax requirements or reconsider its continued manufacturing operations in the state.
Under the proposed terms, Tesla would be required to pay the increased tax rate to maintain its production operations, including Cybertruck manufacturing at its Texas Gigafactory, or face the possibility of having production halted.
The development would mark a significant escalation in the political and business tensions surrounding Musk’s relationship with Texas’ incoming Democratic leadership.
Cruelty is not enforcing laws and allowing illegal immigrants at our border and in immigrant shelters to traffic women and children.
Three days ago, Americans overwhelmingly rejected Republicans’ cruelty, chaos and corruption.
Trump’s response? Elevate the architect of his failed policies, Stephen Miller, to WH chief of staff. The president isn’t just ignoring people across this country, he’s giving them the middle finger.
Our House Democratic Majority will stop the terror of this administration and hold perpetrators accountable.
Democrats are offering nothing of substance.
@RepJeffries @SenSchumer
Never in my life have I seen 2 elected officials work so hard to endanger people they are supposed to be protecting.
Today, we put county officials on notice of their obligation to comply with our Local Cops, Local Crimes Act.
New York counties have until November 25 to end agreements allowing ICE to use local jails for civil immigration detention.
Local law enforcement should be focused on keeping their communities safe.

Something striking: when you dig into the recent manufacturing employment gains, they're in sectors that have high tariffs. For example, fabricated metals added 29,000 jobs since December 2025 with an average tariff of 25%. People love to claim that tariffs harm manufacturing by making inputs expensive, but that's tough to see in the employment data. Graph:
Helping to increase the violence.
Democrats have talked about nothing other than impeachment, lawfare and tax increases.
If you thought Democrats were going to focus on YOUR problems after winning the midterms, think again.
Hakeem Jeffries is calling a White House official a “malignant tumor” that must be “eradicated.”
After assassination attempts against President Trump and other acts of political violence, this is pure EVIL!
Words matter. Dehumanizing political opponents is dangerous, especially in today’s political climate.
Jeffries says @StephenM should be fired. I say Jeffries should be held accountable for his own dangerous words!
At least change your talking points.
Stephen Miller is the architect of Trump’s cruel mass deportation campaign—a strategy that Americans resoundingly rejected at the polls on Tuesday. For Trump to promote this hatemonger shows he has learned nothing. Thankfully, we will have Democratic majorities in Congress very soon to push back on whatever comes out of the Trump-Miller White House.
Have Democrats now just completely erased the part of the election where voters voted for lower prices?
Stephen Miller is the architect of Donald Trump’s mass deportation agenda. Miller is responsible for policies that terrorize our communities, rip families apart, and violate people's basic rights.
The voters were clear on Tuesday: they oppose Donald Trump’s extremist agenda. Stephen Miller should be out of this administration, not rewarded for the cruelty he has inflicted on this country.
Not to miss out
Donald Trump just promoted one of the most vile thugs to ever slither into the Oval Office.
This is an insult to every American who voted for change on Tuesday.
Stephen Miller cooked up the sadistic mass deportation regime that ripped apart families and trampled basic civil rights. Innocent people are dead because of him.
Voters rejected his cruelty and extremism. This is sick.
By the 100th time, it loses its effect. Democrats should coordinate their rote messages of condemnation better.
Asked for his reaction to the Stephen Miller news, retiring @RepDonBacon, R-NE, said Miller is “not a good choice. He’ll have an antagonistic relationship with many. He did take the immigration issue for President Trump from a 2:1 favorable to a 2:1 unfavorable. He went from the Biden extreme to the other extreme. He cost us seats in Texas and Arizona by alienating many Hispanic voters who voted for Trump in 2024.”
Is every Democrat obligated to make a statement condemning Miller?
