On this day, 36th years ago, an F4 tornado ripped through Edmonton and area. My family lived in the Evergreen Mobile Home park. My Dad was at work and my Mother and I were in our mobile home. My mother has told me how it was so hot and humid leading up to the event. The park took a direct hit, but luckily, my mother and I were okay. She took a mattress and put it over top of us in the living room. Our trailer only had the skirting ripped off but the trailers directly beside us were completely gone. We were lucky. They closed off the entire mobile home park so my Dad couldn't get in to see if we were okay so him and my uncles almost got arrested trying to get around the barriers. This was long before cell phones, so it wasn't as easy to alert for tornadoes and check on loved ones after the fact. #blackfriday #tornado
Albertans want to stay in Canada but we want immigrants, including children, to not have access to basic human rights and we want to give the provincial government, THE ONE THAT WANTS TO SEPARATE, more power over the province than they currently have?
