One of my main issues with separatism, both in Quebec and in Alberta, is that I view both provinces as part of my inheritance as a Canadian. Carving out either province fundamentally changes my country, and the only people who get a say on such a matter are registered voters currently living in that province. A brand new citizen who became eligible to vote only one day before a referendum would have the ability to vote on whether or not to change Canada forever. My ancestors settled in Alberta in the early 20th century before moving to Ontario.

The Liberal government just confirmed that "clear majority" in the Clarity Act means 50%+1.
That's always been the case, of course - if the Liberals had wanted to put 60% in the Clarity Act, they could have done so.

What really set David Eby off was when @SecTreasuryofUS Scott Bessant opened the door to a pipeline from Alberta to the US Pacific Northwest.
Eby blamed that on our meetings in Washington DC.
That seriously diminished Eby’s power to veto Alberta Oil Exports. His reaction was the same as when Nutien moved Potash exports from BC to Washington State at the cost of BC jobs.
He threw a childish tantrum and resorted to name calling.

Folks, wake up. The whole "man-made climate change" narrative is one of the biggest cons in modern history. It's not about saving the planet; it's about control, taxes, and funneling trillions into green scams that enrich a few while bankrupting the rest of us. And the star of this scam? CO2, the invisible, odorless gas that's essential for life on Earth.
They couldn't pick something obvious like smoke stacks belching black soot...that's too visible, too provable as pollution. No, they went with carbon dioxide, a trace gas (0.04% of the atmosphere) that plants crave to produce oxygen. It's invisible, so no one can point at it and say, "Look, there's the monster!"
You need fancy models, "experts" and endless graphs to "prove" it's a problem. Perfect for scaring the masses without real evidence staring you in the face. Dogma.
The believers? They're the ultimate marks. Brainwashed by media hysteria, celebrity virtue-signaling, and school indoctrination.
It's a cult. Question the high priests, and you're labeled a "denier". But real science thrives on debate, not consensus enforced by grants and censorship.
Their predictions have been wrong for 50 years. The grifters like Gates, Gore, Thumberg, Guilbeault, McKenna, and Suzuki are moving on (to the next scam).

It's reported that the Alberta Sheriffs estimated 20,000 people were present at the Alberta Legislature for the @ABProsperityPrj Independence rally.
In addition the Unacceptable Fringe livestream had 8.8k viewers and the Freedom Calendar livestream had 2.5k.
