#ACPD2018 conference is coming to its end. The last session included:
- Manipulating auxin levels to increase tomato heat resistance (J. Ludwig-Müller).
- Quanitative analysis of root gravitropism (M. del Bianco).
- Improvement of pathogen resistance by cytokinins (C. Argueso).

Plant hormones are wonderful but do not forget sugars – they can act as signals too :-)
F. Barbier (Australia) about auxin, cytokinins, strigolactones and sugars in shoot branching. This morning at #ACPD2018 conference in Prague.

Nitrogen is an important nutrient but its excessive use in agriculture has serious environmental impacts. It is thus crucial to study how plants respond to nitrate.
B. Lacombe (France) talked about the involvement of hormones in nitrate sensing by plants.

This afternoon at #ACPD2018 is all about cross-talk among plant hormones and other factors.
First, Ottoline Leyser (UK) talked about the interplay of auxin, strigolactones etc. in shoot branching.
A. Lakehal then reported on auxins and jasmonates in adventitious root formation.

Day 4 of the #ACPD2018 conference. Morning session was just loaded with interesting information about auxin transport betwen plant cells.
The first speaker was Markus Geisler (Switzerland) who talked about ABCB transporters and some of their molecular partners.

Afternoon at #ACPD2018: lots of info about hormones in plant development. Two examples:
- M. Kucukoglu (Finland): cytokinins regulate wood formation in aspen (economically important tree).
- W. Peer (USA): role of auxin degradation in development of flowers and other organs.

Stories from opposite sides of a plant this morning at #ACPD2018 conference:
- L. Moubayidin (UK) on how auxin establishes proper organ symmetry in pistils.
- V. Mironova (Russia) about auxin + cytokinin involvement in root cell divisions.
And many more interesting lectures :-)
