My analysis of a paper concluding obesity could be protective against mortality in dementia patients. This paper was more thoughtful than I initially expected, testing & ruling out: - reverse causality - survival bias - collider bias This one made me think! 👇

"Self-driving cars promise fewer accidents, fewer injuries, and potentially thousands of lives saved. That sounds like good news for everyone—except perhaps the personal-injury lawyers whose livelihoods depend on crashes and harm." via @ACSHorg realclearscience.com/2026/10…

Yet the government dutifully collects unused opioids from people who haven’t the slightest clue that they’ll probably not get new ones when they really need them. It’s like giving back any unused portion of your paycheck.

Female researchers—sorry, "menstruating personnel"—banned from curation rooms at San José State. Project team told by the Smithsonian certain artifacts couldn't be "handled by females." Today at 5: Anthropologist @eweissunburied on why the wokies endorse some patriarchy.
"A dangerous mixture of good intentions and harmful ideology" is burying America's past, says anthropologist Elizabeth Weiss @eweissunburied. Museums are now presenting native American creation myths as history and reburying 12,000-year-old human skeletons to satisfy activists. Meanwhile, critical research on the first people in the American Southwest has largely ground to a halt courtesy of progressive politics. Tomorrow Dr. Weiss joins @JonEntine, @DrLizaMD and me to make her case. xitter.cf/i/spaces/1YxNrbYvaVzxw…

Supplements are a waste of money for most people. Their marketing often collapses the moment you apply basic chemistry and biology. You’re frequently just buying a sugar pill with a backstory. @adolaskie walks through four clear examples:

I don't answer our X critics except to collect their tweets so our team can make funny videos. The idea that Heritage tells us what to say is adorable, though.

Right or wrong, #COVID spurred an erosion of trust in medical officials, and Anthony Fauci bore the brunt of that distrust. Join @JonEntine, @DrLizaMD, and @camjenglish to unpack what we learned (and didn't) from Fauci's personal #diaries. xitter.cf/i/spaces/1nxnRRwqwBLxO…

Let's protect our farmers and food security from scientific misinformation. Here are some glyphosate facts.
Replying to @Rep_Stansbury
Hi Congresswoman, Glyphosate doesn't cause cancer. It kills weeds really well, though. It's a critical agricultural tool that poses little risk to public health or the environment. We made a video you should check out. Call us with questions. Our experts are happy to chat.

This is the epidemiological garbage RFK, Jr. cited during his senate confirmation hearing re: fluoride and IQ. It's my opion that your peer-review process went off the rails here.

The substitution of pseudouridine for uridine changes the mRNA a bit, but it does not impact the built-in cleavage mechanism facilitated by the 2’-hydroxyl group that nature intentionally put there.
Replying to @ACSHorg
The vaccines use modified mRNA (e.g. pseudouridine) to help it last long enough to do its job and reduce unwanted immune reactions. But that critical chemical vulnerability remains, so the mRNA still gets cleared quickly after it’s translated into protein.

Scrolling through TikTok or Instagram, you're force fed AI-generated videos that claim: ❌Fruits and vegetables are “full of toxins.” ❌Farmers are “poisoning” communities. 💸AND OF COURSE:💸 Try my “product” to protect you and your family. More in the 🧵below.
Can you trust that slick health video in your feed? Maybe not. AI is flooding YouTube, TikTok & Instagram with fake “doctors” and wellness gurus pushing dangerous nonsense. My latest for @agripulse. 🧵
