I logged into my account from the middest of Midtown Manhattan and received this message and now my benefits are being withheld. it cannot be overstated how much I fucking hate it here @NYSLabor get it togeth

People will honestly work to destroy your reputation just so they can steal your work, because destroying Black celebrity worship is what Antonio & I have been doing for a decade.
FD Signifier explains that the point of his video is to cut down on celebrity worship, especially among Black people.
He points to Black celebrities people love without paying attention to their politics.
According to him , It hurts to see where Jasmine Crockett is right now. It hurts to see Jay-Z's views on capitalism. And it hurts to see what Kanye West has become.
His argument is that you can criticize them and still love their art.
Killer Mike, who dissed him in a freestyle, is his example.
He said , people are shocked to learn Mike is still one of his favorite rappers, and part of why he made the video was to reconnect with the music he loved so much.
He even admits he almost feels bad. In the last few months Mike has been doing interviews with prominent Democrats, which FD jokes is his "my bad" moment for Stacey Abrams.
He does credits that shift to people kicking Mike's back, and he gives Mike props for being willing to change.
According to him , Mike putting himself in a position to be criticized shows he isn't too far gone. Many of the Black leaders in that "misleadership" role refuse to be held accountable at all.
He respects Mike for that, and hopes the guy who once said "I'm going to burn this motherf***er down" is still in there.

I FOILed for the number of closed public bathrooms in city parks. The data showed some have been shuttered so long the city couldn’t remember when they were last open. The total? 68. Some have no plans for repairs. The average cost? $5 to $7 million.

Defending Chris Alexander’s record as “fantastic” is wild when his tenure at OCM was an objective catastrophe for ADOS New Yorkers.
The MRTA promised equity and restorative justice.
Instead, OCM delivered regulatory paralysis, lawsuits, and broken promises. 🧵👇🏽
Look at criminal enforcement: the city still refuses to disaggregate demographic data under the Charter.
If City Hall disaggregated enforcement metrics, they’d have to admit ADOS New Yorkers continue to bear the overwhelming brunt of stops, citations, and overincarceration.
