I wasn’t expecting this. 😳
The #AMCARMY will cry manipulation. I think it might be companies that exchanged debt for shares. Those companies experienced some nice appreciation in a short amount of time and may be ready to get out. I have no proof, just a hunch.
It’s all about supply and demand. Oh, and it didn’t help that markets cratered the day after $AMC announced their results.
I bought a Mac mini back in early 2021. I was always a Windows user before then. I have to say, after getting used to Apple's OS and using it almost exclusively for the last 4-5 years, going back to Windows feels archaic.
I would ditch Windows in a heartbeat if I could do everything Windows Excel does with the Mac version of Excel.

Groundless? 😂
From their prospectus supplement released back in June;
Following this offering, we will have remaining approximately 168,258,701 authorized shares of common stock that have not been issued or reserved for issuance in connection with our employee plans or exchanges under the Exchangeable Notes. As a result, we may in the future seek to obtain the requisite stockholder approval for the authorization of an additional number of authorized and unissued and unreserved shares of common stock, which may be used for at-the-market sales, exchanges of notes, private placement transactions, equity grant vesting and other dilutive issuances. These future issuances may be dilutive and may result in a decline in the market price of our common stock. The remaining authorized shares assume that no additional PIK interest is paid on the Existing Exchangeable Notes.

They forget that $AMC's share price moved up 30% from the day that they announced July and August's numbers in a preview for Q3 to yesterday's close. Then, AMC announced earnings that weren't much a surprise and offered little to get excited about (meaning Q3's earnings were already priced in).
The dummies should be thankful that AMC is up 100% YTD.

$AMC released July and August's numbers on 9/21 so everyone knew 2/3rds of the puzzle. The share price went from $2.70 to $3.52 yesterday (a 30.4% increase).
The earnings release yesterday wasn't a surprise to anyone and didn't offer a catalyst for a further move up.
Why is this hard to understand?
