Trump: You'll be my guest at Mar a Lago. The problem is that for $5,000, the most you'll be able to buy is a hamburger and maybe a small dessert. I'm not even sure you could buy that. That's not a good place if you're price conscious

You're telling me the President owns up to $23.1 million of Chevron AND up to $18.4 million of Exxon AND gas is up 40% in a year AND his trades show up weeks after he makes them AND the House voted to ban itself from trading stocks, but the bill doesn't cover him And we're the ones who get banned for posting it.

Anyone recognize who’s sitting next to Jared Kushner? Oh that’s just Leon Black. The one who’s suing to avoid testimony after he was served a subpoena from the Oversight Committee…regarding Jeffrey Epstein. No biggie. I’m sure it’s nothing.

US employers announced 153,074 job cuts in October, up 175% from a year earlier and 183% from September. That is the highest October total in more than 20 years, with cost-cutting first and AI second among the reasons cited. Hard to call that a gradual cooling.

Today, China sentenced a Billionaire copper tycoon to life in prison for fraud. Last month, the Evergrande founder also got life for the developer's collapse. Over in the US? Billionaires are paying lobbyists who're busy selling Trump pardons.

The US junk bond market is under severe pressure: The effective yield on US CCC-rated and lower-rated high-yield corporate bonds is up to 18.0%, its highest level since the 2020 pandemic. This figure has surged +500 basis points over the last 6 months, marking its largest 6-month increase since the 2022 bear market. For perspective, this yield peaked at 45.0% during the 2008 Financial Crisis. Meanwhile, credit spreads for CCC-rated and lower corporate bonds over Treasuries are up to 13.4%, the widest gap since July 2020. Over the last 6 months, this gauge has risen +464 basis points, surpassing the 2022 bear market peak of 12.8%. Cracks are widening beneath the surface of the credit market.
