ig amd is the only city in india to have bus transit on apple maps
janmarg BRTS now live on apple maps! i hope @amnexinfotech and @AhmedabadBRTS soon implement this on gMaps as well
GIFT will get proper last mile metro connectivity via public buses.
When will AMTS follow along these footsteps? @AmdavadAMC
on gMaps now you get live service updates for BRTS & AMTS.

better late than never.

holy mother cow they remember password of this account
Great to host the Chennai CUMTA team in Ahmedabad! They rode Janmarg BRTS firsthand and toured AJL's Command & Control Centre to see tech-enabled transit ops in action. Collaboration driving better #urbanmobility #Janmarg
finally!! 😭
after 3 years since the tender was awarded, Titagarh will deliver the first trainset for Metro Phase 2, which was supposed to be delivered by 2024. (government PSU level delays)
Sabarmati Railway Station Metro Station is almost ready.
It should open to the public within the next few weeks, or even days.
With the opening of this station, Phase 1 of Amdavad Metro will be officially complete.
Sadly the state govt. has decided not to expand BRT network
BRT is the best thing there, metro is too expensive, normal city buses are too slow and dont have much PPHPD.
Vey few buses visible here. When public transport isn't the preferred mode of travel, roads eventually fill up no matter how wide they are. Gujarat should avoid heading down this path by continuing to expand bus fleets, strengthen BRTS, and build out the Metro network. @CMOGuj @sanghaviharsh

The hostility and opposition towards BRT has always been about power politics.
BRT reallocates scarce road space from a minority travelling in private cars to a majority travelling by public transport. For some, the idea that a bus full of workers should move faster than a luxury SUV is simply unacceptable.
Amdavad Metro circa 2030

Route alignment for phase-3 is guesstimated from GMRCL documents.
will be updating the map as more info comes out.
Pure clownery 🤡🤡
Media in other countries : Finally, city to get world class pedestrian friendly cities.
Our media: "By making wide footpaths they are reducing road width, hence resultiong in traffic issues."
Public : We want world-class European style walkable streets.
AMC : Sure, lets get you walkable streets.
Public : ....HOW DARE U REDUCE ROAD WIDTH TO MAKE WIDE FOOTPATHS AND DEDICATED CAR PARKING!!!!
What even is this?
@GIFTCity_ How about getting few 12M low floor AC EV buses with more capacity to provide last mile connectivity?
Like the one in the pic attached below:
