Ego takes on the job it was never asked to take Ego veils awareness (cloud cover) but never obliterates it (blue sky) The appearance can seem like awareness is unavailable at times ; hence the urge to practice so that we can attain and retain it Again; the ego #LookWithin💙

Innocently, if I believe my sense of well being, my identity, my worth, my okay-ness in the world IS riding on the successful execution of hitting my 8 iron to the target with the correct contact, flight and appearance of 'skilled' , boy there's alot riding on my 8 iron 😨

The idea of who I can be WHEN all of those better examples show up and confirm who I should be, is the very idea that fires up the seeking and keeps us in perpetual lack. Never ending seeking as a means to become who I already am? A good use of our life? Hmm, methinks not 🤥

The seeking of a better flight, a better contact, a better outcome, a better score, a better perspective, a better feeling, conflicts with a reality which is in constant flux, arising and dissolving, changing randomly . The seeking is the blindfold that blindsides us

Escaping the experience of this moment by believing our intervening/practice can make the later moments 'better' , 'more comfortable' 'less insecure'. The 'I could be happier later if' belief is compelling ....and would be valuable if happy was found elsewhere . But is it?🤔

Presence The belief we need a way to practice and measure of The belief we need a quota of The belief we need a time sensitive arrival and retention of The belief we require a preferred version of The belief someone knows how to attain the above better than Pure belief!

Hit first bucket of balls for 2 years. A handful were on totally on point (strike/flight/direction ) 🙌 A handful were dreadful 😪 Neither end of the spectrum were indicative of whether I'm 100% likely to attain scratch status in a week or not play again . It's 50 balls !
