The fact that the body exchange ratio is still largely the same as it was earlier this year (around 10:1 Ukraine:Russia) indicates that Russia did not take heavy casualties during Ukraine's counteroffensives near Komar, Dnipropetrovsk, and Lyman.
I still do not think that Ukraine is suffering anywhere near 10 times the losses Russia is, as Ukraine was advancing in areas with a lighter Russian presence with less soldiers' bodies to capture, and with much weaker air and fire support to help with this. I still hold that the true ratio is probably much closer to 1:1 than either side wants to admit.
The continuation of this 10:1 trend suggests that, apart from the 90+ PoWs captured by Ukraine in the Lyman direction, Russia was likely able to avoid suffering large-scale casualties from the counteroffensives. And this 10:1 ratio remains, despite Russia carrying out very heavy and costly assault operations on other parts of the frontline, especially in the Dobropillya and Orikhiv directions.
A Russian Geran-4 jet-drone struck a Ukrainian Mi-24 helicopter stationed at an airbase.
A warehouse complex and an industrial facility were also targeted.
1-2 Iskander-M ballistic missiles were launched from Bryansk, targeting something near Brovary, Kyiv Oblast.
Brent crude is $2 away from a new record for 2026.
You gotta love how western mainstream media, with all the connections in the world for original and exclusive reporting, can't seem to report on any consequences of Russian attacks beyond what Ukrainian officials say about civilian infrastructure being damaged.
It seems they are able to report in-depth on exclusive and interesting details from every other conflict in the world, including Ukrainian drone strikes on Russian targets where Reuters loves to constantly talk about Russian refineries being offline for a given amount of time, but never anything about Russian attacks.
Why is that? Why is it that independent hobbyist analysts like myself and others end up posting more details about Russian strikes than every single western media outlet combined?
The current condition of the Oleksandrivka - Kramatorsk Highway - one of the two remaining major rear logistical routes in Donetsk Oblast.
I can confirm that Russian MoD claim that the Antonov Aircraft Plant in Kyiv was targeted last night.
Three Zircon hypersonic cruise missiles launched from Rostov Oblast impacted it. A Geran-2 drone subsequently carried out reconnaissance of the damage after the attack.
The Russian Ministry of Defence issued a statement regarding last night's combined missile and drone attack on Ukraine.
In Kyiv City, the MoD claims to have struck the following:
- The Antonov Aircraft Plant, which they allege is involved in the production of mid-to-long-range drones, FP-5 "Flamingo" cruise missiles, FP-7 ballistic missiles, and FP-9 ballistic missiles.
- A warehouse facility used to produce mid-to-long-range drones, as well as "Hornet" loitering munitions.
- An industrial enterprise used to produce mid-to-long-range drones and components for ground robotic complexes.
- A warehouse used to store drones and rocket boosters for them.
- The "Southern" auto-railway bridge in Kyiv, which they say is used to transport military cargo by road and rail.
Additionally, in Odesa Oblast, the MoD claims to have targeted the port of Kiliya, which they say is used to unload and store military equipment supplied to Ukraine from Western countries. They also claim to have struck a dry cargo ship in the western Black Sea that was travelling to Chornomorsk Port in Odesa Oblast.

Russia has begun using a new cruise missile to attack Ukraine, known as the "Filin" cruise missile.
This new ground-launched missile has a maximum speed of up to 800 km/h, a maximum altitude of 6 km, and a flight range of 600-1200 km. It is 3.5 metres in length and has a wingspan of 3 metres.
It's warhead weighs either 50 or 100 kg, and can be equipped with fragmentation-high-explosive, penetrating, and thermobaric warheads.
This was likely that missile that was mixed up with Geran-5 jet-drones on October 16, that I reported as flying at speeds of 700-800 km/h towards western Ukraine.
Some of the Russian Geran-5 jet-drones used to target western Ukraine today were recorded flying at speeds of 700-800 km/h, indicating Russia may have upgraded them or is using a new type of drone-missile.
The Geran-5 previously had a max speed of 600 km/h. An increase to 800 km/h would effectively put it on par with some of Russia's air-launched cruise missiles.

The first ones are already impacting.
