I’ve been a big @TheRebeccaLowe fan since she first started broadcasting Premier League games. A day late, I just watched the post-match show of the #FIFA World Cup, and it confirmed what should have been obvious to everyone for the past few weeks: She is a superstar.
Love the @CBSEveningNews’ “Good Stuff” segment. Tonight’s was about @ericchurch’s brilliant commencement speech. @tonydokoupil ended very cleverly saying “Wear sunscreen.” I wonder if the reference to Mary Schmich’s brilliant column went over people’s heads. Worth googling it!
I firmly believe the U.S. had legal and geopolitical reasons to take Maduro. But is this ‘running’ #Venezuela @POTUS @SecRubio?
Fear grips #Caracas as a new wave of repression is unleashed in Venezuela washingtonpost.com/world/202…
If the @WhiteHouse is running #Venezuela, why are the paramilitary Chavista collectives cracking down on private citizens today? Time to wake up, @POTUS @SecRubio, before more innocents suffer and the criminals in power solidify control.
After years of denying its control of #Venezuela, the lies of #Cuba’s dictatorship are laid bare. It may well be why #Maduro didn’t leave the country— the Cubans wouldn’t let him. And they still control Venezuela’s military - reuters.com/world/americas/c…
100% agree w/Elliott Abrams. @POTUS dealing w/remnants of #Maduro regime in exchange for an oil deal, ‘is a formula for disaster, and if that’s U.S. policy, Trump will have turned triumph into a new crisis.’
We need democracy in #Venezuela.

If this @nytimes piece is accurate — that @POTUS truly meant to dismiss @MariaCorinaYA in his presser yesterday and intends to work with the communist @delcyrodriguezv — Trump really needs to have his head examined. #Venezuela #VenezuelaLibre nytimes.com/2026/01/04/world…

John Bolton: “What I have to say, the most stunning part about the press conference was probably saying the U.S. was going to run the country. But the second most stunning was the assault on Mrs. Machado, the leader of the Democratic forces.”
The @WhiteHouse/@POTUS/@PressSec should clarify that he was not referring to @MariaCorinaYA but to Maduro’s equally criminal “vice president, @delcyrodriguezv.
Capturing #NicolasMaduro gives me hope that I will one take my kids to #Venezuela, the country where I grew up. But taking the turkey (Maduro) off the table won’t be enough if the four malevolent legs leave it standing (Diosdado Cabello, the Rodriguez siblings, and Padrino).
I don’t understand why @POTUS seems incapable of fully describing the full threat posed by #Venezuela, including links to Russia, China, Iran, Hezbollah, & Cuba. At least “Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan” made a valiant effort six years ago. @MariaCorinaYA

Bravo to the Nobel Committee for honoring my friend @MariaCorinaYA and her struggle for freedom in #Venezuela with the #NobelPeacePrize! Let’s hope the brilliant choice provides the spark for #VenezuelaLibre!

So, will @WhiteHouse @POTUS pay attention to #Venezuela now? Stolen election, Americans arrested, a criminal dictatorship, and today’s kidnapping @MariaCorinaYA? When are the outrages too much? miamiherald.com/news/nation-…
The Venezuela dictatorship arrested two more Americans; masked thugs, likely regime folks, kidnapped the son-in-law of president-elect, @EdmundoGU; & regime forces surrounded & cut off power to home of @MariaCorinaYA’s elderly mom. @WhiteHouse? Crickets. yahoo.com/news/venezuelas-ma…

In #Venezuela, Maria Corina Machado is in hiding and under growing threat from a regime seeking her demise. Her courageous leadership for democracy has earned her both the #Sakharov and #Havel international prizes. Now it’s time for #NobelPeacePrize2025. Re-tweet in #solidarity!
Whatever you may think of the vice presidential candidates, we should thank both of them for showing it’s still possible to have a cordial #debate. #Vance #Walz #WalzVanceDebate

The cruelty of the Maduro regime is stunning. It is a merciless, inhumane, criminal operation. Its own citizens are the hostages. It is clear now that elections will not change anything. The regime and its Cuban and Russian overseers only understand strength.

I echo Venezuelan opposition leader, @MariaCorinaYA, in calling for a global movement to rescue Venezuela from Maduro’s corrupt regime. This should be a world cause that we all stand for: theguardian.com/world/articl…
