Stop excusing criminal behaviour by blaming poverty.
Which part of being poor compels you to want someone shot?
Arrest Angelique and she will name her accomplices.
Let her spend Christmas in jail.
Her community should actually deliver her to the nearest police station because she and her boys have now made e-hailing drivers less inclined to accept trip requests from her neighbourhood, which will inconvenience lots of her people.

Six weeks after I drove an injured stranger to the hospital, someone came to my front door with papers.
The man I’d stopped to help was suing me.
I’d found him on my way home from a night shift. His car had gone down an embankment on a road where you could drive for miles without passing anyone.
He was conscious.
When he saw me at the window, he kept saying, “Please help me.”
I called emergency services and gave them our location.
The dispatcher told me to avoid moving him and wait for the rescue crew.
I heard her. I even said I understood.
But he was in pain, and every time he cried out, I looked up the empty road.
There was no fire. The car wasn’t about to fall farther.
I was frightened anyway.
I decided I could get him to the hospital faster than help could reach us.
So I helped him out and into my car.
At the hospital, I stayed to explain where I’d found him. I called his family using the number he gave me.
His wife thanked me when she arrived.
I went home after sunrise, exhausted but relieved that I hadn’t driven past.
Weeks later, someone called asking exactly how I’d moved him.
I answered everything. I assumed it was for his insurance.
Then I opened those papers.
He wasn’t claiming I’d caused the crash.
He was claiming that what I’d done afterward had made his injuries worse.
And they had the recording of my emergency call.
Why is the world silent on the racial crime in South Africa?
THIS MORNING!
His ears cut off.
Beaten.
Shot in the back.
Stabbed.
This morning, cattle farmer Donovan Marx was viciously attacked on his farm between Potchefstroom and Ventersdorp in the North West. He was severely beaten. His ears were cut off. He was shot in the back/shoulder (doctors were still trying to remove the bullet) and stabbed in the leg with a sharp object. He’s fighting for his life in a Potchefstroom hospital.
A family member left the farm shortly before 8am. Attackers then struck. A farm worker was tied up but managed to free himself and raise the alarm. The attackers fled in Marx’s truck. They’re still free. VF Plus says the full details of the torture are so disturbing they won’t even publish them.
This is not “ordinary crime.” This is the same pattern of extreme brutality; ears severed, severe beatings, shootings, stabbings that has been targeting White farmers for years. English media is already silent. No front-page outrage. No presidential condemnation. If the roles were reversed, it would dominate news for weeks.

When Grimsby Town beat Manchester United in the EFL Cup last year, they sat 4th in the League Two table.
When Fleetwood beat Arsenal in the EFL Cup tonight, they sat 18th in the League Two table.
Arsenal's humiliation somehow an even worse loss than United's. Wow.

You mean Arsenal got knocked out by the team sitting 18th in League Two yesterday, and nobody is treating it like a national emergency? 😭😭
If that was Manchester United, the media would be running 24/7 coverage, demanding sackings and declaring the club finished. The double standards are actually insane. 💀
Can anyone explain why if you have a player sent off the oppo has to remove a player from taking a pen? Either you forfeit that pen or another player in squad take one.

I am deeply saddened to learn of Walter Koenig’s passing.
Although we did not know each other well away from the set, we shared the later seasons of the original Star Trek series and the six films that followed.
What I observed, and what so many fans have expressed over the years, was a man who genuinely loved the Star Trek community.
At conventions, Walter was rarely content to remain behind a signing table. He preferred to be among the people who had kept Star Trek alive for so many decades.
That kind of genuine connection is rare, and it will be remembered by everyone who came into contact with him.
My condolences to his family, his friends, and the countless fans whose lives he touched.
