ALT This study used Boston Birth Cohort data to investigate nativity-related disparities in preterm birth, which is associated with future cardiovascular disease. In the U.S., Black and Hispanic women born elsewhere had better cardiovascular risk profiles and lower preterm birth risk than U.S.-born women. For Black, White, and Hispanic women, having lived in the U.S. for a shorter time was associated with lower odds of preterm birth.
