Imagine your life for one day without water. One day.
How would your daily routine change? What would you not be able to enjoy? How would you adjust?
We often only ask ourselves these questions during drought or crisis. Our family of utilities is hoping to change that. #DrinkingWaterWeek
Numbers are in from the Splash Away the Trash event put on by Lake Hartwell Partners for Clean Water on #EarthDay:
280 participants
10,162 lb of trash
21.5 miles of shoreline
19 dock floats
Massive win for the lake and our drinking water quality! #SourceWaterProtectors
Big thanks to @AndersonSwcd for putting Barrels & Beer into the international erosion control spotlight! Never thought we would tweet that, but here we are. So many angles and partners are required to protect Lake Hartwell. #SourceWaterProtectors
Our maintenance staff doing what they do: getting dirty and fixing things. They don’t like the spotlight but we couldn’t treat water without them.

Pulled a pump for repair at Clemson Pump Station yesterday. Water for 9 different member agencies flows through this station. No service was interrupted. Behind-the-scenes work like this happens every day to provide drinking water for 200,000 people.
Fifth one was the best one! Barrels & Beer 2023 in the books. It takes a community to protect our source water:
