Pakistan has successfully won the election, and secured nomination to the WCO Policy Commission for 2026–2028 during the WCO Regional Head of Customs Meeting in Hong Kong.
This marks Pakistan Customs’ first ever representation on the Policy Commission in nearly 70 years of WCO membership since 1955.
The successful outcome reflects sustained diplomatic engagement by the Mission, Amb @rahimhayat and Pakistan Customs’ Permanent Mission to the WCO under Syed Asad Raza Rizvi @asadrizvi.

Chairman of Kashmir Council Europe (KCEU) Ali Raza Syed has strongly condemned the sentencing of Kashmiri woman leader and head of the organization Dukhtaran-e-Millat, Asiya Andrabi, to life imprisonment by a court in Delhi, as well as the sentencing of her two associates,
Fahmeeda Sofi and Nahida Nasreen, to 30 years in prison each.
In a statement, rejecting this baseless sentence, the Chair of KCEU described these punishments as an act of Indian state terrorism. Ali Raza Syed stated that the verdict represents a miscarriage of justice .
