What a great time to buy AI...
Of course she does... It would be economically foolish to give up the greatest tax and job opportunity in human history!
The Democrats are going to be ALL IN on data centers, provided the AI industry is reasonable when it comes to taxes, water, noise, pollution and energy — which they are.
This is obvious to anyone with any basic knowledge of game theory or street smarts:
You take the money when it's clean, and it benefits your team.
Have you considered SPACE @elonmusk
Positive news. Not surprising given Texas is a great place for builders :) let's keep it that way @GinaHinojosaTX @jamestalarico
We own property and pay a fortune in property taxes to ensure that Texas remains as great as it always has been!
Interesting
The governor-elect of Texas, Gina Hinojosa, has explicitly said that all currently permitted datacenters in Texas will be allowed to finish construction. This essentially covers all of the 2027 and likely well into 2028.
She is going to pass laws that ensure that all *newly* permitted datacenters going forward for delivery in 2028/2029 will pay taxes, commit to no increase in power prices for consumers, don’t impact water availability for people, be constructed with union labor and give “Texans a seat at the table.”
Sounds reasonable. She doesn’t want to lose a lot of good blue collar jobs and property taxes for small towns in rural Texas.
Datacenter commentary starts at 6:30 in this interview.
Also attaching her official campaign position from her website in the next post.
Sidenote: After watching a bunch of her speeches and interviews, I do think she is a political talent and probably has a future in national politics.

Just hung up with the committee chair. Good conversation.
CPM: why is Notre Dame ranked behind BYU?
Chair: they have the same record and we go to head to head result
CPM: I notice Alabama is ranked 5 and Tennessee is ranked 13.
Chair. They have the same record and we go to head to head result except in this case where we decided to rank the blowout winner 8 spots lower
CPM: why is Notre Dame, the number one team in Vegas and all the powet rankings outside your top 10?
Chair: they don’t have a win over one of the teams on our top 25 board here
CPM: I see Indiana is number 4. I assume they have multiple wins over teams in your top 25.
Chair: no they don’t
CPM: oh so maybe only one top 25 win?
Chair: no, not even one.
CPM: thanks!

Watching people sell their AI stocks at the lowest multiples in years to buy consumer stocks at all time highs.
Buy high, sell low, but make it a rotation.
Another sad day in the Austin ecosystem, @RetentionAdam and his family RIP and praying for the family / friends / community here.

All this hand-wringing over capex from Facebook, Microsoft, Google and other new entrants is unnecessary.
When products are this good and improving this fast, we won't overbuild; if anything, we'll be constrained by physics and regulation.
And these machines will last a decade, as software gets relentlessly more efficient and we find creative uses for older clusters.
Earnings will be absurd in the next five years, as companies like Microsoft, Uber, Tesla, Robinhood, and Meta have revenue per employee DOUBLE every 3-4 years.
Pay attention to revenue and earnings per employee.
