Another day & another driver putting lives at risk, this one 09:54 in a 30mph limit on the A358 at Henlade! In the last 2 yrs (2023 & 2024) there were 876 fatal & serious injury collisions on @ASPolice roads. In more than half of these speed was listed as a contributing factor.

This driver presents a significant risk to pedestrians & other road users! A level of driving that is reckless & selfish! This is Lysander Rd, Yeovil just after midday today, when we detected this driver at 72mph in a 30mph limit. #Fatal5 Now watch this: orlo.uk/kLT6G

WDC (04/23) A39 Glastonbury. #ClosePass of a cyclist. Driver pleaded Not Guilty & as a vulnerable road user themselves (horse rider/cyclist) felt they had given sufficient room! Adjourned several times but heard at NSMC 03/02/2025 & driver found guilty: 4 POINTS £958 fine/costs

Near miss reports provide us with a valuable insight & helps us understand more about the underlying risk & causations found in fatal & injury collisions. So far we've received 12k reports but only 214 have come from motorcyclists! Please report here: orlo.uk/bOg3e

This car caught the attention of #OpScalis officers after it activated #ANPR due to the presence of an @OpTutelage marker! Checks showed vehicle was uninsured, therefore seized & the driver reported. @DriveInsured Have you checked you're insured correctly? orlo.uk/T4wan

Further #OpScalis patrols today across @ASPolice targeting those who continue to drive without insurance. This stop was made earlier after an in-car #ANPR alert on the M5 southbound at Sedgemoor, vehicle seized and driver reported. @DriveInsured @OpTutelage
