A big thank you to Dave from @AstraZeneca who visited us today to review the results of an undergraduate miniproject. Some of our yr3 @ChemistryatYork students have been investigating the synthesis of esomeprazole. Framed posters, detailing their work, were provided as a souvenir

Getting girls interested isn’t the hard part, the curiosity is there. Retaining them and supporting them when the bias accumulates over time…that’s the challenge #InternationalDayofWomenandGirlsinScience.

It is hard to put into words how deeply grateful I am towards all the people who have believed in me during this (still ongoing) journey...
Most importantly I want to thank @spicerlab for the continuous, excellent support that I have and continue to receive. I have felt a true sense of belonging and found comfort working in this lab. I believe this is a turning point in my carreer for which I will be forever grateful
