Having spent the last 3.5 years working through academia for a doctorate, there is definitely some sort of reckoning coming for the over-admining of universities.

For anybody asking where’s the money gonna come from, I think Schuyler has your answer
I’m certainly no whiz on what the university needs to do to get out of the rut it’s been in for the last 15 years, but this is a pretty damning portrayal of a university that organized itself in a way that undermined its academic purpose and impaired its athletic department
UM’s admin spend grew 130% the last 7 years, while athletics rose 54%. Over that span enrollment went up 8% and classroom instruction spend fell 2%. In March the budget committee put athletics first among its “top recommendations for reductions.”

This is what’s wrong with higher education. Call it out every chance you get. Uidaho is plagued with the same admin overspend. No clue why there are 8 “executive” staff members in our athletic dept.

I’m now working with @SkylineSportsMT on this series to spread the word on our issues and solutions we’d like to see!
We’re up 94 emails to @UMontanaPres letting him know what we’re hoping can happen. Thanks @Colter_Nuanez for sharing your microphone

If you want to do something about it, the bottom of the post has a tool that helps you write an email to President Shinn in your own words and copies the Regents and the Commissioner. Goal is 500 before the Brawl. @MikeMNugent @ASchmidtacular @GrizFanPod

The business of Montana football brings in $13 million to $15 million a year and is allowed to spend $9 million. The rest pays for the other sports, which is how UM puts $4.2 million a year less into athletics than the median Big Sky school.

2025 playoffs if the FCS format was adopted or what the 2025 playoff field would've looked like with the proposed FBS format. Oh no - so much fun football you guys!

It’s astounding how absolutely soft FBS Twitter is about a 24 team playoff. It’s fantastic and the FCS has made it work for years.

If we lose to MSU ( more than likely with this defense) we will be lucky to be at home week 2. Week 1 is starting to push it for a home game. Gotta be perfect here on out, either dominate start to finish like the Davis game, or have you go to Brookings second week of playoffs

Well, there doesn't seem to be a LB or S that is decent in coverage.

Five seasons of judgment calls at Washington-Grizzly, counted: 38% fewer on the visiting defense than the same teams draw everywhere else, eight bailouts in 631 late downs where the league gets nineteen, 33 of 43 officials quieter than their own norm. bobbyball406.com/the-quiet-w…
