Walk out the gym. Couple of bogan ladies come up. One asks me for directions. Upon giving said directions, the other lady slaps me on the chest and says "He knows. He's buff." I've been waiting years for this kind of recognition.

Traffic congestion is not an externality.* It's a pricing mechanism.

I know Biden pulling out of the US presidential race is big news but I can’t stop thinking about how an asparagus fortune teller prediction on Jeremy Vine could be right. xitter.gq/chiefbrody1984/status/…

2) This will upset the hardcore single-issue YIMBYs on here, but there are other things that matter besides spamming the "more housing" button. The suburban, auto-centric development pattern is a long-term fiscal disaster. strongtowns.org/journal/2024…

Richard Prebble is right, we need to solve congestion like Tokyo did, by building mass rapid transit, densifying our inner suburbs, removing off-street parking, and making car owners prove they have off-street storage. Might be a tough sell politically but cool he's up for it
