TravMedia Awards 2024: Meet the Sponsors A brand new sponsor for a brand new category – a big thank you to ATOL for sponsoring National Tabloid Newspaper Travel Section of the Year. Together we’re celebrating some of the nation’s favourite newspapers, as they seek to curate the best adventures and getaways for their millions of loyal readers. The @ATOLprotected scheme offers financial protection for British holidaymakers who book a package trip that includes a flight. ATOL protects passengers if their holiday company goes out of business, assisting them to get home if they are already abroad, or allowing them to claim for a refund if they’re yet to travel. Established in 1973, ATOL now financially protects around 29 million passengers annually, a figure projected to grow to almost 32 million this year. Last year, ATOL protected bookings made up around £31 billion in sales. Consumers can check their holiday company is ATOL licenced on their website. atol.org Learn more about ATOL: atol.org #TravMediaAwards
