Cheap APC mounted self-propelled anti-aircraft guns (SPAAGs) are the epitome of Evestria's military corruption. Lacking the most fundamental necessities for an anti-aircraft gun, they are downspec-ed to the extent that they are sometimes unable to even shoot straight and are virtually useless at destroying aircraft.
Originally, the government had allotted a sizable amount of funds to Evestrian top brass to procure top-of-the-line anti-air hardware. However, each level in the hierarchy pocketed their share of the funds, and so what was left of the budget was used to purchase cheap outdated SPAAGs in bulk. These SPAAGs were heavily downspec-ed to make them as cheap as possible to buy.
During the Evestrian Civil War, due to their widespread availability, they were extensively used to deter enemy aircraft and control airspace rather than eliminate aircraft as gunners would prefer to just spray bullets in the sky rather than attempt to shoot down aircraft due to its unreliability.
To solve this problem, proper Anti-Air Missiles which finally added aircraft destruction capabilities could be fitted onto the sides. However, these add ons were very expensive, and given only to select units that have "earned it".

Evestria has a ton of transport helicopters like this - the joke is that, there are more helicopters than there are military personnel. All bought by the corrupt old Evestrian army as part of an under-table deal.
They are a huge waste of government money, but can at least resist a few hits from a SPAAG, and carry heavy armor.

I have decided to put all of my effort into making a demo version of the game, which I hope can be released in early October. Because this undertaking is huge, some of my industry buddies are also stepping in to help me, and we are now a small team. I hope that with this, we can deliver a good experience to the best of our abilities.
