The 'state' predates the idea of socialism.
Any organised body of people involves a 'state' component - collective actions for the common good.
Free-markets are good in markets, places where many people can buy and sell.
Collective action is good when there are common goals.

This account by @DanNeidle of Russell Brand's use of an injunction to silence (and bankrupt) a woman who accused him of assaulting her is shocking.
She wasn't even allowed to talk about it to the police or to medics other than named individuals.

🚨🇮🇱 BREAKING: Netanyahu has been DENIED the first chance to form Israel's next government.
President Isaac Herzog has officially selected Gadi Eisenkot, Netanyahu's main rival, to try to build a governing coalition.
The formal ceremony is scheduled for Sunday at 5 p.m. in Jerusalem.
And the numbers explain why.
Eisenkot received recommendations from 67 lawmakers, compared with just 46 for Netanyahu.
He'll now have 28 days to put together a government, with a possible two-week extension.
But there's a rather significant catch.
Those 67 endorsements don't mean Eisenkot actually has 67 lawmakers willing to sit in the SAME government. Several potential coalition partners are refusing to work with one another.
So Netanyahu hasn't lost the premiership just yet.
But after years in power, he's now watching his biggest rival get the first opportunity to replace him.
And for once, Netanyahu isn't the one holding the mandate.

British ‘justice’: this bias seems to me to create the grounds for an appeal to the European Court of Human Rights.
The only ground allowed to be heard in Supreme Court appeal was balance between countering terrorism and freedom of speech and assembly.
The judges referenced terrorism, terrorist or national security 60 times.
They mentioned freedom of speech zero times.

Look at what Ukrainian artists create today.

🇺🇸🇷🇺‼️ FORMER U.S. ARMY EUROPE COMMANDER BEN HODGES ACCUSES TRUMP OF BEING UNDER PUTIN’S INFLUENCE, SUGGESTING HE MAY HAVE BEEN “BOUGHT”!
Retired U.S. Lieutenant General Ben Hodges has made a serious allegation against President Donald Trump, claiming that the American president is under pressure from Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“It is absolutely clear that President Trump is under some kind of pressure from Vladimir Putin. I think he was simply bought.
Trump now has two options. He can acknowledge his dependence on Putin, or he can try to avoid accountability in the hope that his successor will protect him.
We have never had a perfect president. But having a president who is not only corrupt himself, but also allows others to engage in corruption, is an unimaginable disgrace,” Hodges stated.
🔥 Hodges’ remarks represent a particularly direct accusation from a former senior American military commander.
His allegations raise questions about the Trump administration’s approach to Russia and Ukraine, although no evidence establishing that Putin has bought or controls Trump was provided in the quoted statement.

BREAKING: 🇮🇱🇺🇸 Two Israelis charged in $129 million AI-powered fraud scheme in U.S.
Haaretz reported on U.S. charges against two Israelis, Sharon Hazan (54) and Guy Sheetrit (42), plus Spanish-British Jacob Soall (41), for an international scheme defrauding companies of $129 million using AI to impersonate CEOs and lawyers via voice and video deepfakes.
The group targeted accounting staff from 2024-2026, directing wire transfers to controlled accounts before converting funds to cryptocurrency; notable victims included U.S. hospitals, a UK fintech firm, a Rhode Island bank, and a Florida pet food company.
All three were arrested in Europe between June and September 2026 and face extradition to New York on wire fraud, money laundering, and identity theft charges, with Hazan having a prior 2008 bank fraud conviction.

🚨🇮🇱 Netanyahu is calling for a NATIONAL UNITY government, with Iran's nuclear program at the center of his pitch.
He wants Israel's Zionist parties to join forces in a coalition that he says would permanently eliminate Iran's nuclear threat.
But there's a big obstacle.
Netanyahu has lost his parliamentary majority, and opposition parties have ruled out joining a government under his leadership.
Meanwhile, 67 lawmakers have recommended his rival Gadi Eisenkot to form the next government.
Netanyahu wants national unity. His opponents want a government without Netanyahu.

A little linguistic and biblical accuracy:
“Allah” is Arabic for God. Arabic-speaking Christians use it, too. The related Aramaic word is Alaha/Elaha—but that doesn’t establish Jesus’s exact words on the cross.
Mark records Jesus saying “Abba, Father” at Gethsemane BEFORE his arrest (14:36). On the cross, he says “Eloi, Eloi, lema sabachthani?”—“My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” (15:34).
These religions differ in their theology. That doesn’t change what their words mean. Disagreeing with Islam doesn’t make the Arabic language wrong or Allah’s meaning which was solidified BEFORE Muhammad.
