Construction work on new fields at our main campus behind IHS and Dake Jr. HS, started in early June and the end product will be a new, multi-use athletic complex featuring turf baseball and softball diamonds and a relocated area for track and field throwing events. Check out the drone video shot last week. The other phase of this capital improvement project, which was approved by district voters in December of 2024, is the transformation of the Pinegrove Learning Center, 154 Pinegrove Ave. That is expected to be ready for the 2027-28 school year and will add three Pre-K/UPK classes, as well as other learning spaces. We are in the early stages of this process and now need community members, former students, performers, athletes, current or retired teachers, ex-coaches, other retirees, etc. to help us! The three halls are:
🔹 Alumni of Distinction Hall of Fame
🔹 Alumni Athletic Hall of Fame
🔹 Alumni Visual and Performing Arts Hall of Fame
The first committee meeting is Thursday, Oct. 8, at the IHS Campus Center (Small Cafeteria) at 3:30 p.m. Please join us. We are not yet taking nominations. The district needs you to build our committee and help develop nomination processes, criteria, timelines for launch and rollout, and more for each Hall of Fame. If you'd like to join or know someone who would be interested, please email [email protected]. We will have subcommittees for each Hall of Fame, so come one, come all! This is your town ... I-Town!
