underrated developer skill:
reading error messages without immediately asking an LLM what they mean.

AI coding tools are making one thing painfully obvious:
knowing what code to write was never the entire job.
knowing whether the generated code belongs in your system is the harder skill.

building an @ethereum protocol knowledge feed
here's what we're pulling from so far:
— ethresear.ch
— ethereum magicians
— EIPs/ERCs repos
— all core devs (pm + forkcast)
— EF blog + vitalik's blog
— cat herders, week in ethereum, christine kim's notes
— L2 governance: optimism, arbitrum, zksync, starknet, uniswap
— all 10 EL/CL client release feeds
— defillama metrics (tvl, stablecoins, dex volume)
32 sources total. what are we missing?
looking for legitimate protocol-level sources like governance forums, research blogs, security feeds, audit reports, anything that helps devs and researchers stay informed.
not looking for price feeds or influencer takes. actual protocol knowledge only.
drop your suggestions below 👇
building something and i don't have a name for it yet (suggestions welcome)
the problem it is solving is that ethereum moves fast but the signal is buried. EIPs, eth-magicians discussions, L2 governance proposals, client feature releases
the stuff you actually need to know gets lost in noise.
this is not another app telling you btc dipped 3%. no price gossip. no influencer drama.
it's a feed of actual protocol knowledge. what's changing, why it matters, explained in 60 seconds per card. snap-scroll, mobile-first.
building in public. shipping as fast as possible. first version will be live soon.

Today I'm parting ways with Fly.io. It's been a privilege. I'm off to tilt at a big old windmill with Kurt, again.

AI agents don't just need wallets.
they need:
→ spending limits
→ permissions
→ identity
→ reputation
→ revocation
→ transaction simulation
giving an agent a private key and calling it “autonomous finance” is the easy part.
the hard part is making it safe.

being on x has made me realise it’s easier to build a complex app than to build engagement here.

getting someone to use your product is one thing.
getting them to care enough to talk about it is a completely different game.

I'm 25.
curiosity usually gets me into rabbit holes, side projects, and questionable amounts of screen time.
i genuinely believe that if you enjoy what you’re doing, you can figure out almost anything.
looking to connect with more builders, researchers, and curious minds.
I'm 30
solo founder from France 🇫🇷
no job, no freelancing, no client work
just me grinding daily since April 2025, when I started here with:
- 0 network
- 0 post / 0 photo/video of myself online
- 0 product built
By the end of 2025 I
– created my company
– posted on X, LK, Reddit, TikTok for the first time
– recorded myself in English
– posted guitar playing videos + BiP videos
– launched my first SaaS (8 live now)
– made my first internet money
– traveled outside of Europe
– jumped on calls with strangers
you might know me as the guy who branded the Mac he didn't have yet (maybe that's what will remain lol), so here's more about me, hoping it inspires you:
I always wanted to be a game dev but was rubbish in maths/physics, failed, and ended up getting a Master's degree in English studies (with a research paper on AI, that already seems so outdated lol)
then complete shift to web dev, started from zero
→ one year later I was creating a web app for a huge British company as a solo, fullstack dev
that's mostly what's still helping me finance my journey, even though I've just been burning savings every single month since
anyway that contract ended in April 2025 ; I was going to do freelancing, but I found this indie community here and started watching @marclou's vlogs
I had no idea where to start but I still started
I've never loved coding, I've only ever loved creating stuff thanks to it - and that's what I'm addicted to
🎸 I play guitar (got my first one 20 years ago)
🎶 I've recorded probably more than a hundred songs over the last 15 years
🎮 I love gaming, I used to spend 10 hours a day not coding but playing, not much time anymore now (toxic trait: I believe I could've turned pro on CoD4)
🖥️ Now creating things online, from SaaS to web apps to mobile apps to random tools to games (I even ranked #51 / 900+ in the VibeJam)
and now going all-in on the BrandMyLaptop.com marketplace
"I haven't got THE product that could help me blow up and that would make me want to focus on 100%" - that's what I said on my birthday 10 months ago ; but now I do!!!
this BrandMyMac auction has completely changed my journey in the span of a few days
it's the first time I felt, while building it, "I know this is a banger, it's obvious it can work, it must already exist"
the rest is history:
✅ 13M views in 2 weeks (10.3M with one post)
✅ +3k followers in the last 2 weeks
✅ unlocked monetisation on X and got paid $1,300
✅ I made $15k in 3 weeks = I made $16k over the last 1.5 years (different perspective right?)
✅ started the whole "BrandMy..." trend
all that took +14k posts, 8 SaaS & 2 mobile apps that kinda flopped ($200 MRR all combined atm), a crazy amount of reps (made 100 daily vlogs then stopped cos they felt useless)
if you think I pulled that recent money, impressions, success or whatever out of nowhere, you're wrong. and it's not your fault
there's no way for you to know what it took to get to that point
and this is the point of this post, might as well re-introduce myself to the new 3k followers (welcome and thanks), instead of just saying "let's connect" lol
anyway, grateful for all these moments, your support, and the amazing people I've met 🙏🏼
and I'm proud for starting this journey, believing in myself, and challenging myself more than ever
still long way to go before being able to chill out making revenue passively 💪🏼
thank you all ❤

building copynpaste.xyz made me appreciate how many good product ideas start with a very specific annoyance.
mine was watching text formatting fall apart every time i moved something between apps.
~4,000 people used it in a month.
still think there's something powerful about fixing the problem you personally keep running into.

copynpaste, 7 weeks in
- 6,300 people in the last 90 days
- 4 paying users
- 12 integrations shipped, every one from a user email
- $0 on marketing
built it because pasting between apps kept wrecking my formatting. turns out it wasn't just me

turns out thousands of other people had the same problem.
still think there's something underrated about building the tool you personally wish existed.

the interesting thing about decentralized systems isn't that they eliminate complexity.
they redistribute it.
sometimes from institutions to protocols.
sometimes from companies to users.
sometimes from trusted intermediaries to mathematics.
but complexity never really disappears.

the AI x crypto conversation is getting less hypothetical.
agents can already use tools.
software can already make payments.
stablecoins already provide programmable settlement.
the real questions now are around permissions, incentives, and reliability.

there's a weird phase of being a developer where you're confident you can build anything.
until a bug refuses to reproduce.
then suddenly you're reconsidering your entire career.
