My landlord texted me today saying I had to let another tenant use my apartment for a few hours because his wife was coming home from the hospital and he needed somewhere for her to rest while he cleaned their place. I told him I wasn't comfortable letting strangers into my apartment, but he said I was being selfish and that we all had to help each other. Then he told me he had already promised the man he could use my living room. When I refused, he started calling me nonstop, saying I was making him look like a liar. I told him that whatever promise he made wasn't my problem, and he replied that I was going to regret making things difficult for him.

3 months ago, I watched a girl at a restaurant tell a customer, “You can speak to me nicely or wait until someone else is available to serve you.” The whole place went quiet, and I was lowkey scared but impressed because she didn’t even look nervous.
