Went to an interview at a local hospital. My old job was given to AI. The phone systems use real people but the doctors and nurses now use AI exclusively to diagnose patients. Expect a lot of people to start dying.

Ah yes, a phone call to the mother unit today…who scolded me for applying for unemployment and “going on the dole”. Mom, unemployment isn’t welfare. I don’t qualify for welfare, Mom. She’s still scolding me. I just shut up and listen. At least she refrained from the insults.
I have noticed that when going to a government agency that is there to help you, God forbid you go there looking presentable. Just had a woman tell me I dressed ‘too nice’ to need help. What? My hair/teeth/clothes/shoes are clean. The outfit has no holes - bought at Goodwill.
