It's even worse when the treatment plan involves something which has little or no evidence to suggest benefit. In my world, for example, the use of LifeVest for newly diagnosed nonischemic cardiomyopathy.
How are doctors so deeply offended when a patient declines a treatment plan? I mean, translate that into the real world “what do you mean you won’t have the appetizer? Sorry, I need to kick you out of the restaurant”.

So what is going on with the new LVAD currently being studied in the USA, #BrioVAD ? @BrioVAD Heard rumors the trial wasn't going as expected. Look what you see in Clinicaltrials.gov : clinicaltrials.gov/study/NCT… "Active, not recruiting" Temporary glitch or it is over?

I just want you to know that I live about 1500 miles away from Austin and two co-workers at my hospital who are Indian American were commenting on your loss today. So your reputation far exceeds TX borders and you are known nationally for being a racist asshole. Congrats!
Tonight wasn’t the night our campaign had hoped for. To everyone who stood alongside us, gave your time, and believed in what we set out to accomplish, thank you. I will never forget your dedication, your friendship, and, above all, your love for the great state of Texas. As Thomas Jefferson once wrote, “I like the dreams of the future better than the history of the past.” My dreams for Texas and America remain undiminished, as does my faith in the indomitable spirit of the people of the Lone Star State. I’m not going anywhere — because we have work to do. Onward.

LVAD recovery is one of the overrated concepts in HF. How many patients truly recover to get their VAD explanted? Few than you think but thought leaders want you to think it's common. Still remember years ago did a VAD explant for "recovery" - he died of MSOF in 72 hours.
Where does myocardial recovery fit in #LVAD care? Join our upcoming webinar in collaboration with @Womenintxp_mcs to explore evaluation and optimization strategies for patients supported with our #HeartMate3 LVAD. Register: bit.ly/4icAIvL U.S. Safety Info: bit.ly/4icrQpI #CardioEd
