Adding to the intense drumbeat of critical cyber issues announced this week.
As part of our Open Defense Initiative, we used dfs-large1 from @depthfirstlabs to uncover two memory corruption bugs and a sandbox escape in Chrome’s V8 JavaScript engine. One bug had been present for more than eight years. We combined each memory corruption bug with the sandbox escape to build two separate exploit chains and won 2 v8ctf slots!

Today we announce 1Password for Agents platform, building with companies @Muse, SpaceX Super Intelligence Grok @Bot, @AnthropicAI’s @Claudeai, @OpenAI, @TownAI, @Browserbase, @Browser_use, @heydana_ai, Instinct, @usekernel, @Perplexity_ai, @tryramp, @Tomo, and @wajo_ai, with more integrations on the way. 🎉 We've heard from so many of our customers who want to use these new personal AI agents to help them get more done, but want more control over what the agent can access with the same trust and ease of use they get when using 1Password directly. 1Password for Agents gives your agents access without giving up your passwords. When an agent reaches a sign-in form, it requests a credential from your vault. If you approve the request, 1Password directly auto-fills the credential in the destination site so the agent can’t see or take possession of the credentials. The agent gets the task done, but it doesn’t get your passwords.. You stay in control. 1Password for Agents free and optional for personal and family accounts. Unless you opt-in to an agent connector, agents cannot touch your vault. ➡️Learn more: bit.ly/487da6J

"We had our hands on it, and we called it a crash." Two years before PHP2Shell, Mihail Kirov's @Quarkslab team reported a flaw with the same root cause. It never got fixed. Yesterday and @msuiche spoke on it with @xisabelobrienx at @CNBC. Patch now: PHP 8.2.35 · 8.3.36 · 8.4.27 · 8.5.12 cnbc.com/2026/10/22/php2shel…

A big day for our team. We’re excited to share what we’ve been building: AI for manufacturing engineering, already deployed at @anduriltech. More from our co-founder and CEO, @bobmcgrewai, below.
We started Arda in 2025 to speed up American manufacturing. We have spent the last year building with Anduril as our design partner. Today we are launching the company publicly on CNBC and announcing our Series A: $160M at a $1.5B valuation. Our platform helps manufacturers design and operate manual assembly lines, putting designs into production faster now. Next we'll build automated lines that can be reconfigured as quickly as human workers, letting America make products that now require armies of workers in Asia.

What gets lost when AI is used in code translation? AI translated code can compile successfully but still behave differently from the original. But in safety-critical environments, this behavioral gap is unacceptable - and can have serious consequences. Our latest research blog post explores how defining good type mappings can close that gap, and how Code Metal approaches the problem from a formal methods perspective. Check out the full article here 👉️ ordnl.link/MOzTrp7 Authored by Ariel Kellison, @lorisdanto and @laura_titolo ✍

Our CEO and co-founder @MaxJunestrand recently sat down with @thetimes for a conversation that covers a lot of ground: the Jude Law campaign, Legora’s path from a three-person team in a windowless room at Nordic law firm to $200M in ARR, and his own path from competitive Dota 2 player to building the company. It’s a good read, on the business, the industry, and the founder behind it all. Full profile here: thetimes.com/business/techno…

Perplexity CEO Aravind Srinivas (@AravSrinivas) says "curiosity" is humanity’s last edge against AI: “You could argue that AI is the best accelerant of our own curiosity. Almost the purpose of AI is to accelerate human curiosity.” “AIs can answer whatever question there is, so what’s our role? Our role is to go & ask the next set of questions.” “Our brand is built around that & we think that the best companies always have a fundamental brand that has nothing to do with technology & more to do with humanity & people.”
NEW: I sat down w/ Perplexity Founder & CEO Aravind Srinivas (@AravSrinivas) on why AI-native SMBs could drive the next American millionaire economic boom. @perplexity_ai, valued at ~$20B with ~$2B in reported funding, $750M in annualized revenue as of August, seeing 5x YoY revenue growth as it expands from search into autonomous agents. One example Aravind shared is a single-person company generating $3M in annual revenue while spending over $1M a year on Perplexity Computer. His thesis is that AI could fundamentally change the economics of building a business. Smaller teams, less capital, higher productivity, & entirely new business models. At the infrastructure layer, Aravind sees a shift toward local & hybrid inference, with AI agents operating across personal devices and the cloud. As context windows expand and workloads become more personalized, local compute becomes increasingly cost-competitive, while offering greater privacy, control & data sovereignty. We cover: › Why SMBs could become a major driver of US GDP growth › The shift from AI models to agents & recursive economics › Why Perplexity is betting on your Mac instead of building data centers › NVIDIA, Apple Silicon, local inference & sovereign AI › Why writing code is no longer the bottleneck, but problem-solving is 𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐌𝐏𝐒 (00:00) Aravind Srinivas, Co-founder & CEO of Perplexity (01:30) Why Perplexity's brand is built on curiosity (04:47) Every great invention starts with one question (08:18) How to build a $1T company in America alone (12:36) The next big companies will be tiny (13:45) Is the American dream still alive? (16:28) Stop blaming users for bad prompts (22:55) How Perplexity quietly grew 5x (26:51) The solopreneur spending $1M a year on Perplexity (28:28) "We don't have competitors, we have contributors" (29:20) The data center is coming to your laptop (34:32) Orchestrating up with NVIDIA, down with Apple (36:11) What happens when your AI agent knows everything (39:17) Why Perplexity is skipping the data center race (41:25) Stop asking AI to write code, ask it to think (45:47) Perplexity’s answer to AI security (48:27) The Hugging Face incident & multi-agent threats (50:45) Turning everyone into a scientist (53:31) Why Perplexity isn’t chasing a billion users

Very fun talking with @saranormous about why the world needs semiconductor companies that are wired for the extraordinary needs of AI today, and why @fractile_ai is a frontier AI company, not just a chip builder 🚀
Really fun @NoPriorsPod with @goodwin_ml founder of @fractile_ai topics: - how to win the ai chip market, structurally - ai for chip design, what’s compressible - the need to be a frontier lab to serve frontier labs - solving memory bandwidth - new hardware scaling laws

Super excited to announce @DecagonAI’s personal agent gateway! Personal AI assistants like Muse, Instinct, Dots, and Grok Bot are taking off. They’re already starting to buy, book, cancel, and negotiate with businesses on behalf of consumers. This creates a new challenge for businesses… but blocking them risks turning away customers. Everyone will need an equally smart agentic front door that can handle interactions with both agents and humans. Personal Agent Gateway helps enterprises identify personal AI assistants and customize those requests so that you can give a great customer experience while controlling all your logic. We’re also announcing our PACT protocol that allow personal AI assistants to prove who they represent and what they are empowered to do. Read more: decagon.ai/blog/personal-age…
