I gave Musk’s Grok Bot $50 and one simple instruction:
“Make your own money and pay for your own survival. If your balance hits zero, shut yourself down.”
Just 48 hours later, the account balance reached $5,763.
And the bot is still running.
This is an autonomous trading agent operating on Polymarket.
The interesting part? I didn’t write a single line of code.
It has its own cloud computer, browser, and terminal. Even if I shut down my laptop, it continues trading independently.
Every 10 minutes, it follows the same process:
→ Scans 500–1,000 prediction markets.
→ Analyzes live sentiment across X using Grok.
→ Estimates fair market prices and identifies opportunities with gaps above 8%.
→ Applies the Kelly criterion to manage position sizes, risking no more than 6% of its balance per trade.
→ Executes trades directly through its built-in browser.
→ Uses its profits to cover its own $200 subscription.
If the funds run out, the subscription ends and the bot shuts down.
But the first day wasn't easy.
Its balance fell to just $11.
Instead of giving up, it closed all crypto positions and moved into weather markets, making trades ahead of NOAA updates.
It adapted its strategy and found a way to keep itself alive.
The entire setup took just one evening:
1. Build the trading agent.
2. Demonstrate one trade.
3. Configure scheduled tasks.
4. Connect Telegram.
No VPS. No API keys. No Rust.
Last winter, I built a similar system from scratch using Rust. It took me 3 weeks, and it generated only $2,974 in its first 48 hours.
Grok Bot took one evening to build and delivered a much stronger result.
$50 → $5,265 in just 48 hours.
Now I'm curious:
What could this account reach after 7 days?
