At Monday night's Village Board meeting, the Knights of Columbus presented a check of $3,000 for the Addison Police Department's annual Shop with a Hero event. Shop with a Hero is an annual collaborative event where local children are paired with heroes from the Addison Police and Fire Department to shop for winter clothes, clothing, and toys. Thank you Knights of Columbus for the generous donation that makes events like these possible!

Thank you to everyone who made our Fall Community Recycling Event a success! We had a total of 398 cars participate. The weather was cool but comfortable in the 50s, and it was a great day to serve the community. Shoutout to Clyde's Donuts for their generous support and EJ Screen Printing for providing shirts on short notice. A big thank you to Republic Services, ProShred/ VitalShred, SCARCE, BLH Computers USMe, the VFW Post 7446 Addison IL, all our hardworking Village employees for making this event possible! (10/20/2026) WATER MAIN BREAK / TRAFFIC ALERT: There is a water main break at Thomas Tile at 645 W. Lake St. The DuPage Water Commission and Rossi Contractors are handling the repair of this water main break. The north lane of eastbound traffic and the center lane will be shut down while the repair is being made. Mayor Tom Hundley, Vice President of DuPage Mayors and Managers Conference (DMMC) recently attended a discussion hosted by DMMC President Mayor Phil Suess and DuPage County Board Chair Deb Conroy to discuss kratom, a substance that can create opioid or stimulant-like effects, and the effect it has on our communities. At last night's Combined Meeting of the Committees, Mayor Tom Hundley and the Village Board approved an ordinance that bans the sale of kratom and synthetic alternative drugs in Addison.

Addison’s 2026 Oktoberfest was a success! Thank you to everyone who came out, danced, laughed, and had fun.
