More countries are getting serious about crypto. 🇷🇺 Russia is building a regulated crypto framework. 🇯🇵 Japan is opening the door to Bitcoin and crypto ETFs. 🇰🇷 South Korea is treating crypto as a strategic asset. 🇹🇼 Taiwan is establishing clearer rules. 🇹🇭 Thailand is making crypto more tax-friendly. 🇬🇧 The UK is building a comprehensive crypto framework. Meanwhile, 🇺🇸 the U.S. Senate is still debating the CLARITY Act. Will America lead the way, or be left trying to catch up?

Percentage of younger people diagnosed with a mental health problem in the US, according to their political opinions. I had to double check with @grok to confirm this was true. (h/t @johnthenoticer)

working on something for quicksay this week that i’ve wanted to build since day one. not ready to show it yet. but if it works the way i think it will, it changes how the whole app feels. more soon. #buildinpublic

two weeks posting here. things i’ve noticed: - indie builder community is more supportive than i expected - honesty about not knowing what i’m doing lands better than faking it - still no idea how the algorithm works the app is getting better though. #buildinpublic

quicksay changelog this month: 8 versions shipped fixed garbled hyphenated words switched the AI model added 4 formatting modes built an onboarding wizard rewrote the settings UI twice solo dev, no CS background, shipping daily. still surreal. #buildinpublic

just realized i dictated this entire conversation thread without thinking about it. six months ago i had to remind myself to use my own app. now i forget i’m using it. that’s probably a good sign.

someone asked what quicksay is built with. autohotkey v2. yes, the macro scripting language. for a real product it’s good at what i needed: system tray, global hotkeys, windows APIs. no electron eating 500mb of ram. sometimes the weird choice is the right one. #buildinpublic

ok so the thing i’m building — it’s called QuickSay. speech-to-text for Windows that sits in your system tray and types wherever your cursor is. press a hotkey. speak. done. it’s in open beta if you want to try it -> quicksay.app #buildinpublic

solo dev sundays: staring at a list of 30 things that need doing and trying to figure out which 2 i can actually finish today. the answer is usually “neither of those 2, but 3 other things i wasn’t planning on.” #buildinpublic

tried something yesterday: dictated every email i sent instead of typing. thought it would feel weird talking to my computer. it did, for about ten minutes. then it just felt fast. like i’d been doing things the slow way this whole time.

since people are asking — yeah, i learned to code with chatgpt and claude. no bootcamp. no CS degree. just pasting error messages into chat at 2am and slowly figuring out what was happening. six months from "what is a variable" to something in beta. #buildinpublic

i'm not a developer. at least i wasn't six months ago. i was a bartender. ran a restaurant for six years. closest thing i had to coding experience was fixing the POS system when it crashed. now i'm building desktop software. no idea how i got here either. #buildinpublic

hey. i've been quietly building a desktop app for the past 6 months, mostly for myself. decided to stop hiding in the basement and start sharing the journey. gonna post about what i'm making, what's breaking, and what i'm learning along the way. #buildinpublic

Tom Lee says Ethereum is being priced like a short term asset even though the story is a decade long. -He says today’s price barely moves the long-term math -Tokenization makes ETH a decade-long growth story -And his future value framework still points to $100,000 ETH
