Hear me out:
If you're 18 to 40 years old, this market selloff is creating some incredible opportunities to buy great companies at significant discounts.
Here are 6 stocks I'm watching:
1/ $VST โ $124 (43% below its all-time high)
Vistra just reported an impressive Q3, with revenue increasing 28% YoY to $6.35 billion and ongoing operations adjusted EBITDA jumping 50% to $2.38 billion. The company raised the midpoint of its 2026 adjusted EBITDA guidance to $7.1โ$7.5 billion and introduced 2027 guidance of $7.7โ$8.5 billion. Vistra also acquired 5.5 GW of natural gas generation capacity, authorized another $1.5 billion in share repurchases, and signed a 20-year agreement to supply 207 MW of power from its Odessa facility in Texas. With AI data centers requiring enormous amounts of electricity, I believe $VST is becoming increasingly important to the AI infrastructure buildout.
2/ $IREN โ $21 (72% below its all-time high)
IREN just delivered remarkable Q1 FY2027 results. Revenue surged 66% sequentially to $228 million, while AI Cloud revenue nearly tripled to $200 million. Adjusted EBITDA jumped from $19 million to $66 million, with AI Cloud gross margins reaching 86%. Even more impressive, its revenue backlog climbed 22% to $20.3 BILLION, with approximately two-thirds backed by investment-grade counterparties. The company has more than $4 BILLION in targeted ARR already contracted and funded, with deployment now targeted for early 2027. $IREN also controls over 5 GW of secured power and has a development pipeline exceeding 35 GW. At $21, I believe the market is severely underestimating this company's long-term potential.
3/ $AAOI โ $50 (79% below its all-time high)
Applied Optoelectronics just reported its sixth consecutive quarter of record revenue. Q3 sales surged 127% YoY to $269.9 million, while adjusted EPS improved to $0.17 from a loss of $0.09 a year earlier. The company recently secured a multiyear strategic agreement with a Tier 1 hyperscale data center customer and expects to have equipment installed for more than 500,000 high-speed 800G and 1.6T optical units per month by year-end. Although its 2027 U.S. expansion faces power-related delays, management is targeting capacity exceeding 1 million units per month by the end of 2027. With AI demand driving the need for faster optical networking, I believe $AAOI 's long-term growth opportunity remains enormous.
4/ $TMDX โ $88 (50% below its all-time high)
TransMedics just reported the strongest quarter in its history. Q3 revenue surged 41% YoY to a record $203 million, including 35% organic growth. Product revenue climbed 29% to $113.4 million, while service revenue jumped 60% to $89.6 million. The company reported EPS of $0.46 and raised its full-year revenue guidance to $764โ$774 million. The FDA also authorized 90 additional patients under its ENHANCE Heart continued access protocol, while TransMedics secured its first European transplant logistics tender in Italy. $TMDX is building a powerful platform for organ transplantation, and I believe the market is underestimating its long-term expansion opportunities.
5/ $NBIS โ $130 (57% below its all-time high)
Nebius reported Q2 revenue of $582 million, an incredible 454% increase YoY, while adjusted EBITDA jumped to $236 million from a $21 million loss a year earlier. The company exited June with approximately $3 BILLION in annualized run-rate revenue and has secured more than $40 BILLION in long-term customer contracts, including major agreements with Microsoft and Meta. Nebius also recently secured a $3.5 billion financing facility with Citi to support its expanding AI infrastructure operations. With major customers, significant contracted future revenue, and continued access to financing, I believe $NBIS has a compelling long-term growth opportunity. Q3 earnings are scheduled for November 12.
6/ $TE โ $2.36 (86% below its historical high)
T1 Energy is quietly building something significant in American solar manufacturing. In Q2, the company generated $250.1 million in revenue and manufactured 935 MW of solar modules at its Dallas facility. Since then, T1 has signed new supply agreements totaling more than 1.58 GW, including contracts with subsidiaries of Avantus, bringing its contracted 2027 manufacturing capacity to more than 4 GW. The company also secured a Commerce Department waiver allowing it to import up to 1.725 GW of solar cells while expanding domestic manufacturing. Its new 2.1 GW Austin-area solar cell facility is expected to begin production in Q1 2027. $TE reports Q3 earnings on November 12, and I believe the opportunity in American solar manufacturing could be substantial.
