Do you know who illustrated the comic on calif.io/php2shell? Her name is Stephanie Cortes. And her husband is the hacker who discovered php2shell: @lcfr_hax. This artist-hacker couple has the best story, stay tuned!

Chat, we've gone big league Last time on Dragon Ball Z, a few weeks ago I made a crappy little video of me bonking goop (malware) with a stick. In the video I mentioned I use IDA Pro, I believed it to be the best on the market, and said as an independent researcher I can easily afford (I used a cracked version). Following this silly video, I got an e-mail from the people who make IDA (Hex-Rays). I immediately believed they were going to yell at me, hit me over the head with a cinder block, or sue me, for using a cracked version of their very expensive product and displaying it in the video. Instead they told me they liked my goop video and they liked my goop posts. They also said they like vx-underground because they value the goop. So anyway, so instead of beating me over the head with a cinder block, they gave me IDA Pro Expert for free. wtf i love hex-rays

We discovered CVE-2026-101767, an unauthenticated SQL injection in #Oracle E-Business Suite that chains to remote code execution. Fixed in Oracle's October CPU. Technical details to come later. Indicators of Compromise: 🔹 Unauthenticated POST requests to /OA_HTML/AppsTCFServer that instantiate the Gantt data-server class (oracle.apps.jtf.gantt.server.GanttDataServer), followed by backend database activity. 🔹 SQL reconnaissance shortly after unauthenticated web requests (database version, current user, directory objects). 🔹 Unexpected files in $APPLPTMP and the oracle account spawning /bin/sh via the Concurrent Manager to run OS commands.

Teamwork makes the dream work. The team and I @J4ck3LSyN @Archknight23 🚨 Heads-up for anyone running PHP: two critical RCE bugs, patch drops tomorrow. The PHP project has confirmed an emergency security release for two critical remote code execution vulnerabilities: CVE-2026-109618 and CVE-2026-109619, both rated CVSS v4.0 9.2. 📅 Patch lands Wednesday, Oct 21 at 14:00 UTC (9:00 AM Central). PHP has reserved the right to ship it earlier if details leak or exploitation shows up. PHP runs about 75% of the web, including WordPress, Drupal, Joomla, Laravel, Magento, and countless custom apps. If you operate a PHP server, this is your weekend-ruiner unless you act. Here's the part the big threat-intel shops aren't shouting about: No official technical details are public yet. But based on my own source-code analysis of php-src, my best assessment (moderate confidence, NOT officially confirmed) is that the vulnerable path is PHP's session.upload_progress / multipart form-data (rfc1867) handling: 🔹 Present since PHP 5.4 🔹 Enabled by default (the compiled-in default is On; the sample php.ini ships it commented out, so stock installs have it live) 🔹 Processes uploaded request data before any of your application code runs, so it's reachable pre-authentication on a default config That lines up exactly with the public breadcrumbs: "affects default installs," "every version since 5.x," "fires before user code." Treat it as a working hypothesis, not gospel. The official advisory supersedes all of this when it lands. ✅ What to do right now: 1. Inventory your PHP. Know every host and version (php -v). Anything on PHP 7.x or older won't get a fix, so plan to upgrade. 2. Apply the stopgap (best-intel, low-risk, reversible). In php.ini / .user.ini / .htaccess: session.upload_progress.enabled = Off Reload PHP-FPM or your web server. My analysis says this closes one of the two likely paths. 3. Clamp multipart uploads at the edge. The second likely path lives in the multipart parser itself, which runs for any multipart/form-data POST regardless of the setting above. If you've got a WAF or reverse proxy, tighten inspection or rate-limit multipart POSTs to endpoints that don't need uploads. This is the same network-layer mitigation the enterprise vendors are quietly deploying for their paying customers. 4. Patch the second it drops. Current stable: 8.5.11 / 8.4.26 / 8.3.35 / 8.2.34. If your hosting is managed, confirm your provider's timeline today. Why I'm posting this for free: A pre-patch mitigation shouldn't be a subscription perk. I'm a one man shop, and the orgs most likely to get burned in the gap between leak and patch are the small teams without an enterprise threat intel contract. The steps above cost nothing. Spend tonight reducing risk, not tomorrow doing incident response. I'll follow up once the official advisory publishes and confirm whether my root cause read was right. Stay patched. 🔒 #PHP #CyberSecurity #InfoSec #RCE #CVE #WordPress #Laravel #ThreatIntel #VulnerabilityManagement #AppSec

There is only one answer to cybersecurity threats: Fix your shit. Scared of threat actors using AI? Worried about rogue agents? Think abliterated models are spooky? Fix. Your. Shit. The "ban AI models and regulate GPU access" crowd should instead fix their shit.

Started the day with a headache and worn out from a 28 hour day yesterday (moving to a new place..im so tired..) Ended it taking apart a live iOS exploit kit. Thanks to Smelly for the Goop. The kit was sitting on a compromised retail site, behind a directory the actor misspelled. `/js/analystic/`. Not `analytics`. The tweet that started the hunt had it wrong by one letter and 404'd. We pulled the live path. It is not one kit. iOS <18 is Coruna lineage. iOS >=18 is DarkSword/P7. The 85-byte module served to the 18.6 family is byte-identical to the `rce_module_18.6.js` iVerify published. Same SHA-256. The module naming is the same salted SHA-256 scheme with a different salt. A derived fork with a builder. The chain, end to end: WebKit RCE -> GPU-process sandbox escape -> mediaplaybackd userland LPE -> kernel LPE -> SpringBoard implant. Keychain DB and keybags. 34 wallet apps. Photos. Notes. App data. A custom XOR wire. In-memory only, no persistence in this build. The <18 branch goes deeper than the public writeups. Native Mach-O dylib, then a ChaCha20/LZMA2 manifest with the `0xf00dbeef` magic and 19 more stages. Three sampled. Contacts, Safari bookmarks, diagnostics. Scale: 124 domains in public telemetry, 6 path-confirmed victims, a 19-domain "account compliance" lure cluster. The victims are unwitting hosts. Block the path, not the business. We filed 35 IOCs to ThreatFox and 33 samples to MalwareBazaar, 25 indexed. No victim domains. No victim paths. No C2 contact. No execution. Clean hands. If i can try and do some properly shaped victim notifications through proper channels I will later tonight. Wife home soon and need to clean kitchen.. heh...anyway.. Attribution: Out on the wire and unknown rn.. will look later for more clues. The goop is public. The most sophisticated part is still the misspelled directory. 😂 HONK. 🪿

It's a Coruna EK campaign on stylesmuggler-vulnerable PrestaShop websites. Oh, good old days back. @Malwarebytes @ConfiantIntel @kafeine, let's go another round? Like we are young again?
> be @malwrhunterteam > on a legendary run on social media > find silly website > estrosa-dot-it > website for italian cosmetics > legit website, used by the pasta people > notice something silly on website > /js/analytics/assets/js/group.html > look inside > group.html checks browser agent > detects iOS version > loads different files depending on iOS version > loads 49554fde7424c31c.js > 49*.js doing lots of crazy stuff > layers of obfuscation and pointer arithmetic > lolwtf > look inside > exact match of Coruna EK > Coruna Exploit Kit > Coruna originally used by US government > rumored to be made by US contractor > rumored US contractor illegally sold to kremlin > UNC6353 (kremlin) found using Coruna in 2025 Chat, someone is swinging the legendary goop around. It is Coruna, the state-sponsored iOS exploit kit. All this requires is your Apple device to visit a website and (assuming you're running the targeted iOS version) you're cooked. Although, from my initial bonking of it, it appears this delivers two different payloads depending on the iOS version. Unfortunately, I know almost nothing about iOS exploitation and iOS malware, so I have no idea what I'm doing. I encouraged my peers and colleagues to review it. It is good goop. I've archived the payloads from the compromised domain. The shared link is below. pic unrelated
