Just left an event honoring a Black sorority and spoke of the need to unite against the rising tide of white supremacy, only to be confronted by Nazis marching through downtown Nashville.

In my view, the key CPAC story isnโt that right-wing influencer Jack Posebiec said, โWelcome to the end of democracy. We are here to overthrow it completely.โ
The story is how many Republican lawmakers are absolutely silent about it.
May I suggest the media ask every Congressional member who speaks at CPAC, and every Republican presidential candidate for that matter, the following three questions:
1) Do you reject Jack Posebiecโs comments?
2) Do you support democracy?
3) Do you respect the separation of church and state?
And don't stop asking until you get answers.
I believe journalists have a duty to uncover just how deep the threat to American democracy runs.
Itโs the answers that should frighten us. Never the questions.
